When you play an HSH guitar, does the single coil pickup get in your way?
Nope, I just lower it if it does but usually I pick in between the single coil and neck pickup.

What pickups do you recommend for a tapping only guitar with low action?
As weird as it sounds, I'd actually recommend something that has less dynamics and is more compressed/high output, to even out all the tapped notes.

Opinion on EMG 707's?
I like them for massive rhythm stuff, expecially chords. They expecially work in brighter guitars. Don't like them for single note techy stuff or leads/solos.
How did you like the string gauges on the TAM100 - heavy bottom light top?
I think it's definitely a good choice to provide massive but tight low end, but still be able to do bends/vibratos on a baritone scale. I personally use 74 + 60 + 9-46.

What is the cheapest guitar you would actually buy and play somewhat regularly?
I bought a '89 RG750 for 350$ and I play it everyday...nowadays it's hard to find something that is both very cheap and very playable/enjoyable. There are exceptions though, I'm definitely gonna buy the new Ibanez acoustic 7 which is very cheap!

When you listen to a song, do you always wonder in the back of your mind whether you're able to play it someday? Its been happening to me ever since I started playing guitar and sometimes it drives me nuts haha.
Yes it always happens to me! Last time was with Petrucci's solo on The Enemy Inside. I just said to myself "I'd never be able to reach that alternate picking speed" haha :)

Actually they sold more JP13s than all other models...or at least a recent pic from their factory suggested so. I personally think the finish is badass and my favourite of all the "X" models, but active preamp and rosewood board don't make me prefer this guitar compared to the others.

I think a very slight route would be necessary. Best is to take measurements of both and go from there :)

What's your opinion on aftermarket Big Sustain Blocks for locking tremolos. Do you think they are worth the money or are they all hype?
I've never tried them, but at the same time for whatever reason I'm pretty sure they work well.
My friend had an accident and his JP6 neck is cracked beyond repair, body is fine though. Is there any place you can order a replacement, preferably the same colour?
Your friend should contact a local Music Man dealer and they'll hopefully sort it out.
What BKP do you recommend for a mahogany neck and body Birdseye maple fretboard 6 string in drop C? Looking for a tone similar to veil of maya and Dillinger escape plan. Versatility is key,from djent to jazz y'know? I want clarity in chords and expressive pick attack, any bridge/neck combo is fine
If it's an all mahogany guitar and you want something that rules both with modern aggressive music and more mellower stuff, Rebel Yell is the one. Go with VH2 in the neck!
