If you were to teach a 10 year old kid to mix music tracks for the first time, what would be the most basic things to tell them?

Imagine you're driving a bus, and it's full of very fat people. Even worse, there are no seats! So everyone is bumping and fighting with each other. Pretty bad uh?
Your job is to create seats for each person, so that they sit comfortably in their spots without bothering others.
We're going to do this with EQ and compression...... :)

Did you like university? Or did you find it terrible

I don't hate on university in general, but the one in my city was really terrible...at least for me :)

Hey buddy :) How are you? Quick question. I know for sure is that my level is too low to cover bands like Intervals (F*CK YOU AARON xoxo <3 U though). Like I cannot even convert what I hear to proper tabs for myself (which I usually manage withh other songs/bands). What tips would you give me sir?

Just give it time, really. Use your ears as much as possible to dissect every nuance that a certain guitarist is doing - slowing the audio/video helps. And tabs can help, but they definitely don't tell you how to play properly, just what frets are being used :) Also better spend a lot of time practising basic exercises that cover just one movement, than do random songs or licks that might be too advanced for your current level.

We guys know you are endorsed by Carvin Guitars. Does that mean you can't use other guitars (your blackmachine, EBMM, etc.) in your videos and while performing live?

Generally speaking, it always depends on the contract an artist signs with a certain brand, the level of exclusivity etc. One thing for sure I'll use Carvin live since my 7 string owns :)

Do you think that a 26.5 scale lenght is enough to handle a low F? I just drool for the RGD2120, but maybe the new 28" RG would be tighter.

I personally think from F# territory 27" would be best. 26.5" is perfect for A/Ab/G stuff.

do you like Buckethead at all?

I like him, but I've never listened to him that much. I can recognize his style but don't remember any of his songs. Missing out big time?

Are you not ordering spalt topped guitars anymore?

If I had the money, no I wouldn't because they wouldn't top (sorry for the pun) my B2's spalt, which is enough for me.

Hi francesco, I'd want to ask you what do you think about Parker Fly Deluxe models... Have you ever tried one? Here in Germany there is a man who is selling one at the price of 900/1000 euros. Do you think it is a good bang for the bucks? Thank you!! Good luck with your band!

Extreme playability, very comfortable, but I don't like their tones personally, too "anemic". Also on most of the models swapping pickups is a real pain in the ass.

did you ever release the reamping test with the mesa vs hesu cabs?

Not yet - I'm moving house and studio these days and also miss one of my monitors since it was faulty, waiting on a replacement. Everything should be sorted out by this week or the next one, so I can continue releasing vidz 'n stuff :)

Just wondering, when you are doing something like a guest solo (not in person) and record it yourself, what format do you send it to the person in? I would assume just a raw .wav of the solo part, which the other person would then import to their DAW etc. How do you usually do this?

This is how a guest solo works (at least in my case): I receive a .wav file of the backing track, or song, or a rough demo of the final product. Along with that I ask for the song tempo/bpm etc.
Having a wav file and the bpm info permits me to perfectly align the song within my daw so that my recording will be exactly in time with the rest, and gridded with the other tracks once it's sent back.
I personally record both a dry (DI) signal and distorted signal, so that the guy/band can choose if they want to reamp it or just keep my original tone. I can also provide the distorted tone with and without effects (delay/reverb), if someone wants to add them later.
With Fred Brum or Ryan Siew for example they used my original tone, with Cognizance my solo was reamped by Eyal Levi @ Audiohammer with a Marshall JCM800 if I'm not mistaken. It always depends on the individual's taste :)

At the end of the day, would you think pickup models play a big role or tone tweaking is bigger role? I mean there are lots of pickup models like for example on BKP,should I go in-depth comparison with their models or as long as BKP it's good and you can get the preferred output, what's your thoughts?

For sure the difference between, for example, a stock Ibanez RGA pickup and a BKP is HUGE, but as long as you have a good quality, clear and balanced sounding pickup that works well for the stuff you play, a good engineer can make any of them sound excellent. I find with the advent of the Axe-Fx you have so many options that, with proper work, you could make a jazz hollowbody sound brutal as f00k :)
So why then BKP? Because they sound better than the rest and make the engineer's life even easier when building a killer tone. That's just my opinion of course :)

I just asked because it really bummed me out because AILD was why I got into metal and his Vox as well as the guitar really made the band for me.

He's a killer vocalist and frontman, I agree! AILD owns

Since someone mentioned Austrian death machine, what do you think about the Tim lambesis case?

I couldn't care less to be honest. It just doesn't concern me what musicians do in their private life - I only respect them for their music-related work :)
Regarding this, only if you were Tim or his ex-wife you'd know the exact truth, so that's really pointless to waste time on opinions/drama/sermons about stuff that isn't related to your life or career at all.

What you think about Austrian Death Machine? haha

I love them! The songs and lyrics are fuckin' awesome, they own hard.

Any progress on new Abiogenesis stuff? Can we guys expect a solo album from you?

As mentioned many times already, we are filming our first official video next month! After shooting and editing is done we'll work a bit on our merch and then release time :)

Grazie in anticipo ;)

Nailbomb ceramico ponte, VH2 manico! Accoppiata d'obbligo :)

Q1:Do you think trying to emulate favourite guitar players and incorporate specific styles is good to improve soloing/phrasing and even riffing? Q2:Any tips for organizing practice time? Like:practicing techniques/scales/etc. (time to practice:3-4 hours on weekdays/6-7 hours on weekends) Thanks!

1 - sure!
2 - I personally never counted hours or minutes or whatever, I just worked on what was my priority at the time and practiced until I reached a goal I was comfortable with, and then switched to something else, always starting from the basics and then gradually increasing the difficulty level.
In the end, just play as much as you can and enjoy making music rather than focusing on exercises, speed and accuracy will come with time.

i have read the FAQ but which scales did you learned and used to get your own?

Almost everything you need to know is within the major scale, really. With all its modes and variations you can come up with endless approaches, it's HOW to use the scales/modes rather than just knowing them.
