Do you like the band Ghost ? my favorites: Ritual, Secular Haze, Infestissumam

One of my favourite bands at the moment. The first album is already a classic, I like the second a lot but not all tracks like the first one.

How did you get so Godly in the Arts of Guitar?

Thanks, I don't think I'm godly at all haha :) I practiced hard enough in my teens, assimilated as much music as possible and noodled around a lot!

do you like deathcore bands like whitechapel, suicide silence, carnifex or similar?

I love whitechapel, I like suicide silence sometimes, I don't like carnifex. It depends on the band :)

Hello!! thanks for all the answers this page has been so useful. Ive always felt weird with my right hand technique when it comes to picking. i feel like im doing something wrong not with the way i hold the pick but the motion of the hand. could you explain proper technique for the right hand? Thanks

Hey thanks! Yes I can, but since I get very in detail regarding it, it would be pretty much impossible to put it in words. I'd have to show you correct posture regarding shoulder/elbow/forearm/wrist/hand/thumb and also give lots of exercises that I think are crucial. Only option is a skype lesson I think

Hey!! id like to start practicing improv more efficiently could you give me a quick list of all the things i should do to get better? thanks

It's just not possible to give you a quick list: to be good at improv you must be daaamn good at pretty much everything in lead guitar, have groove, versatility, taste in phrasing, good theory and fretboard knowledge...there's a long way to improvise well!

Hi, I learned the Machine solo of BOO from your video (very instructive !) but I prefer to do the little tapping after the sweep with my pinky. Is it weird ? I find it easier than with the other. Should I learn to do it with the right and ?

Do it as you wish :) I generally prefer to play stuff exactly as it's performed originally, but nothing wrong in doing as you do

my breddah, what's the spec of dat kxk?

Mahogany neck
Mahogany body
Flame Maple body/head top
Birdseye maple fretboard
Ebony side dots
25.5" Scale, 16" radius
Tone Pros bridge
Sperzel locking tuners
Dunlop Dual Design strap locks
24 Dunlop 6000 frets
1V 3way, no tone

Are there noticeable differences between the rg 1527,7620, and the 7420?

Apart from numbers (tehheeee) the 7620 has a better trem and is my favourite one, 7420 is exactly like 7620 but worse trem, 1527 has different neck profile and depending on year, different trem. I'm just talking about the japanese ones btw, not current 7620 etc

This may sound stupid and yes I seem your post about the tuning and I've already tried google. But what exactly is Drop Ab? I'm trying out for this band and they use that tuning. Is it a half step down from Standard Low B? Or 3 and a half semitones down?

Like drop A but half step lower

Any tips or videos on how to improve my muting technique? I know you'd normally say practice, but I don't even know where to start :/

I always say "muting is an art"...maybe it's not, but it's crucial! You can be as fast as you want but it's more important to NOT play the notes you don't want to ring out, rather than play the ones you want :)
I don't have any videos on this but I do teach it as part of my lessons, I get quite in detail with the visual description so it cannot be put in words unfortunately.

In your opinion what set of BKPs would sound good in a guitar with a swamp ash body, maple neck, and with an ebony fretboard? I'm on the waiting list for a Strandberg and I was considering a set of Cold Sweats

They would sound too bright and the guitar would probably lack low end. It depends on tuning, but I'd generally recommend alnico Blackhawk, Holy Diver, alnico Nailbomb, Abraxas.

Hi francesco thanks for the answers, what do you think about youtube players like Dhalif Ali, Leonardo gzman and roberto restucia?

All phenomenal players, Leo is a good buddy :)

So is the Ceramic Nailbomb bridge and VH2 neck now your favorite combination? Or it just depends on the guitar?

It depends on the guitar, but generally speaking it's my "safe bet". I also love the Holy Diver, Aftermath, Warpig, Painkiller, Black Dog, Rebel Yell etc.

How are you so nice, surely this many years in the music business will make you cranky

I try to be as nice as possible with people who support what I do, and if sometimes what I write might seem rude or abrupt, it's just because I want to be clear on my opinion about something.
Unfortunately, from time to time it happens that someone takes the stuff I write too personally or just the wrong way, and that leads to trolling, haters and all the usual internet stuff :)
Luckily 99% of you guys are into what I do and I'm grateful for that!
