If you're good at something, never do it for free ! I've nerer seen your fees. How much do you take for a lesson and how much do you take for a solo ? Are you on bandhappy btw ?

I teach on Bandhappy yes http://www.bandhappy.com/profile/francescofiligoi but also use Skype.
Rates for lessons are 15$ 30mins, 25$ one hour and if two 1hour lessons per week, 40$.
Rates on solos vary depending on length and if something more specific is required, best to contact me privately if you're interested on that :)

I've always wanted to film my covers and my own songs and put it on youtube.Today, the trend is to make a video with multiple angles record the audio outside with a DAW and film. I much prefer this to a basic webcam recorded video. What camera would you recommend me ? Good quality but not to expensi

Canon Rebel T2i (EOS 550D) is relatively cheap and very good starting point. Most of my videos are made with it :)

I really like your solo on Ryan Siew's video ! Did you made the solo because you guys are friends or do you just made it because he asked you ? Do you make solos on songs if someone asks you nicely and that you like the song ?

Thanks :) we are friends and he asked me, so both!
Regarding doing solos on other stuff, sure I often do it but not for free, session work is a source of income like teaching etc.

Besides Italian and English, do you speak any other languages ? Also, what language do you'd like to speak if you could learn it now in 1 second ? ;)

I know something in other languages but not at all at "fluently spoken" level :) any other languages? I dunno, probably Klingon

How you ever used the power amp section of your guitar head?

I don't have an amp, but when I had one I used its power section with Pod and Axe Fx a couple times just to check how it was.

Guys, I don't like Meshuggah at all, is there something wrong with me ?

Not at all :) I generally find something to like in everything, but I too have some bands that regardless of everyone liking them, I don't that much.

In your cover of Meshuggah's "Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion" what technique are you using? After the first 'djent', it sounds like you are picking twice but it looks like you are playing staccato the first time and picking the second time .

Good question. When the song came out I was listening to the riffs and couldn't exactly figure out how they "chugged" those parts, it sounded like a fast staccato but was too "weak" to be down picking...I tried with upstrokes but it just wasn't the same.
A couple days later I saw a live video of them playing the song and I watched the guitars closely to understand what they were doing, it took me a while but then I finally got it: they chug, then REST THE PICK on the first string so that it actually makes noise but they don't actually pick it, then chug again but without detatching the pick, so it looks like one movement but it's actually touch-stop-chug.
I bet tons of other covers you see on youtube are wrong since they just chug twice or do upstroke scratches, but it's not like that at all. I've actually never seen any other band applying this "resting" technique, Meshuggah must have "invented" it haha :)

Che accordatura consiglieresti per una 7 corde con scala baritona? Quali corde useresti?

Devi decidere tu non posso mica dirti io che accordatura usare :D

Which you would recommend as far as Bridge/Neck config between nailbomb, cold sweat, and painkiller the body is walnut with a redwood top 7 string fanned fret.

depends on tuning and what you're looking for tone wise, also which neck/fretboard wood, neck construction etc. Too many variables, be specific!

Hey man! What about Zakk Wylde?

never been into him that much but he's got crazy pentatonic chops and excellent vibratos

Have you ever played a bass through a guitar patch/rig? What does it sound like?

Sounds like a bass through a guitar rig! Seriously speaking, it's common use in Metal recordings to blend the bass' direct signal with a dirtier, "processed" signal that can be a pedal (Sansamp, Darkglass etc) or even a guitar amp. Mesa Recto and Diezel Herbert provide KILLER dirty bass tones.

How much did you pay for your Koa Bfr ? Do you prefer with or without the Bfr inlay in the 12th fret ? Since you had the JP12, do you prefer which body contour ?

I actually preferred the inlay but it doesn't bother me that much that they don't do it anymore. I prefer the JP12 contour, it's a bit more elegant in my opinion. A JP12 shape with the Koa specs would be just perfect!

What is the best country you've ever visited/lived, except Italy of course !

Not sure about country but New York, Paris, London were all beautiful in their own way :)

What do you think is a good back up for my Axe-fx 2, if it was to brake down anytime while on tour or in general?

Very unlikely for the Axe to break, it's a very very sturdy machine. Best option would be another Axe Fx, or cloning your Axe tones with a Kemper!

Ciao!

Hai mai provato le Sterling by Music Man? Cosa ne pensi in termini di qualità?

Le ho provate di recente compresa la 7 corde, sono rimasto veramente impressionato. Spaccano di brutto!

Hi! What do you think about Sabre pickups? Are them good enough to play progressive/progressive death metal? Thank you!

I have no experience with Sabre guitars or pickups (don't know if they're related haha).

Tone comes from both the pickups, and wood and the guitar itself right?

Tone comes from EVERY element and part of the chain. Mind->Hands->Pick->Guitar(construction/design/scale length/hardware/woods/electronics/pickups/strings/etc)->Cables->Gear(amp/head/cab/eq/pedals/etc)->Microphone and its position/Room->Preamp->A/D Converter. Even humidity can influence tone.
