Peavey 5150 prima serie o Evh 5150 per spaziare dal metalcore al progressive death e djent? grazie per il tempo che dedichi per rispondere a tutti

If you gathered the dragon balls and that you wish was that you can play like if you were someone else, who would it be ? (it term of technique/speed/theory knowledge/whatever/melody... etc....) For myself, If I could choose to play like someone, it would be Lee malia.

Have you tried motor city pickups? I've heard a lot of big names such as Eddie and steve Stevens using them

never tried, I'd be curious although I'm plenty happy with my BKPs. Haeussel is another good one.

What is the best Bass guitar vsti ?

Lots of good ones, for clean fundamental tones Ampeg SVX, Mark Studio 1 or SHB-1. For grit TSE BOD is the one, but you can also use a good Recto sim. Also there are plugins that works immensely well on bass like Bass Rider or high quality '76 clones.

what about skyrim, any interest?

Never played too, I'm not that much of a gamer sorry :) gonna buy a PS4 when I have money though!

How people can trascribe jeff loomis solos (at least the ones i've seen) they're almost impossible, in fact even a really trained ear/playing too.. would have many problems doing it, and more when you reach sextuplets over 170 bpm when it becomes more uncomprehensible

There's far worse stuff than Loomis to transcribe, guitarist like him or Andy James are incredibly fast but more "linear/in key" with note choices and patterns. It's not the biggest deal to decipher the picking patterns, the exact sequence of notes, it's more "predictable" (which doesn't mean banal). Fast is not an issue, just use a "slowdowner" software to get more what they're playing.
The real problem is when you have guys like Guthrie that do really crazy stuff using chromatics, outside notes, licks that contain hybrid picking/legato/alternate/economy all in one, plus they tend to add "flavour" to basically every note with microbends, let-rings,pre-slides, scratches and mutes, legatos+bends+slides all in one, now THAT is hard to transcribe.
I feel sorry for the Jam Track Central guy since he has to tab 'em all :)

Where i can buy useful guitar theory resources?

"Harmony and Theory" by Keith Wyatt is a great one to start. Google it, should be everywhere!

There seems to be a lot of reasons why people prefer bolt on to neck thru construction. Should I let this deter me from getting a Carvin DC 727 or DC 700?

Not at all, the Carvins you mentioned fuckin rule. I personally opted for a CT7 from them which is set-neck but next time I'll go neck-thru.

Bare knuckle ceramic warpig for an esp eclipse ? Even i want to play some rock tones as well except from tight stuff ?

I personally wouldn't recommend it, Rebel Yell/Holy Diver/Black Dog are excellent for rock tones on Les Paul style guitars.

Hi Francesco. I bought a Carvin 727 some time ago and even though I'm happy with it, I'm thinking about switching pickups. It has a mahogany body + maple neck/fretboard. I play a wide range of genres, but this is mainly to play from progressive to death metal. I'm thinking about Aftermaths or Jugger

Both would rule, different character. AM more pissed off, Jugg more versatile and musical.

KRK RP5 3rd gen? that doesn't seem to exist, or you mean 2nd generation? or the "KRK Rokit Powered 5" Generation 3" pls help me :c !!

Superior Drummer with The Metal Foundry or with some ezx packs such as Metal! Ezx or Metal machine?

definitely Metal Machine and Metal! EZX. Although I think the original Avatar library is still the best sounding they've done, sounds very accurate and real-like, with room mics to die for.

Hey man! I just ordered a Charvel Dx-1 ST: mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard and maple neck. I play mostly in Drop C and D standard. What BK's would you recommend swapping out the EMG's with? I'm just looking for something that will compliment the woods really well. Thanks a lot Francesco!

I'd say ceramic Nailbomb would rule in it!

Cosa fai quando ti capita la giornata NO (in senso chitarristico)?

Bella domanda, metto giù la chitarra e vado a farmi una dormita hahaha :) ci sono certi giorni in cui le mani proprio non ne vogliono sapere!

Hey man! Hope you're fine! Is it neccesary to add a high pass filter heavy rhythm parts to avoid any hizz, fizz sound... will it cut the clarity of the sound?, cause I've listened that 9-14hz in moderation makes a brilliant sound? what do you think?

A high pass filter removes bass, not fizz. Generally speaking, do what you want with EQ as long as it sounds good and it's not that extreme.
I tend to have the guitar tone ready out of the box with almost no need to EQ it later. A bit of high and low pass filter are good for sure, and a liiittle bit of boosting and cutting somewhere helps too!
To remove unwanted fizz or harshness, cutting somewhere in the 3K to 7K-ish area would be beneficial.
9-14hz make a brilliant sound? Are you an alien?

Hey Filigoi, I've just started learning about home studio stuff and I want to set up a decent one, but for a reasonable price. What interface you suggest? I'm also looking for a laptop and studio monitors. what settings in the laptop are good for audio processing? I have about $1000 only.. =/ thx!

Search KRK RP5 3rd generation monitors, and for audio interface I'd suggest an Apogee Duet 2 if you have mac, or RME Babyface if you have Windows. Look around for used stuff!

Does a floating bridge causes a big difference on the sustain of the instrument? what do you prefer? I never had a guitar with tremolo system, but wanna try it out.. and also wanna try a 7-string, so I'm thinking in getting a Ibanez RG 1527. Do you have any thoughts about this specifc model?

Depends on how the bridge is made. I like original Edge, LoPro Edge, OFR and Music Man tremolos. All these, expecially Edge, have tons of sustain :)
RG1527 is a very solid guitar, can't go wrong!

Hi francesco! for you, What are the typical guitar picks that a metal player should have try at least once?

JazzIII and Tortex for sure! My favourite is the TIII 0.88 Green.

Which of your guitars are you using for recording the Abio stuff?

Recorded all rhythm stuff with the Blackmachine B2, except some pinch harmonics or minor stuff that I though sounded a bit better on other guitars, like some higher chords or higher notes sound fuller on the JP7 Koa.
Cleans with the JP7 Koa, leads with the JP7 Koa, RG550 and 540PII depending on the part.

have you ever injured your left hand playing ? if so , what did you do yo make it better ?

I had all sorts of hand injuries: broke my left wrist playing soccer, injured my left hand due to a scooter crash and broke my right pinky in a car crash, also had a cyst on my right wrist for some years. But I got past these and I'm still here shredding :)

Awesome! I'm left handed too but and i play guitar like right handed players. Yeah, probably the weak part of this is alternate picking but the strong part is legato(for me). How did you improved your alternate picking? Does it requires special "treatment"?

CiprianCorcioveanu’s Profile PhotoCiprian Corcioveanu
I did some specific things to improve alternate picking but I cannot put them in words, it's more of a posture/feel thing that I have to show or teach.
