hey dude.. I have 5 Ibby guitars and i love them all but i recently bought an old RG 7420 and i love it too and it plays great but the high E string is too close to the end of the frets and my fingers slip off the fretboard a lot have you ever experienced anything like this? help? thank you <3

Happens very often, I had it in my JP7 Koa too. Actually there was too much paint in the neck pocket and my tech had to remove part of it, but the link I posted should fix it right away :)

man i have a huge problem with my tremolo... whenever I tune everything is ok , but if a lean back a bit it detunes , same as if i move foward the pitch changes. so if a move around playing it sound horrible. I have a ibanez ballbearing z3 tremolo

Watch my facebook wall tomorrow, I'll post a solution I came up with that I think is pretty neat and inexpensive :)

Do you like decapitated ?

One of my all time favourite bands, also did a mini-tour with them time ago. To say I like them is a huge understatement, it's the perfect Metal for me.

have you tried the juggernauts yet? opinions? and when ordering covered pickups from bareknuckle how do you order them so that all 12 pole pieces are showing and not only 6?. its very unclear on the site..

I'm testing 7 string Juggies soon for a demo. Some pickups are meant to have 12 adjustable pole pieces like Warpig, Aftermath and Juggernaut, some others are better with only 6, otherwise their bass balance would be a bit different. I have Nailbomb and Painkiller in my B6 with 12 visible poles but it's a custom request, you'd have to email them to ask for it specifically.

what do you think of the juggernaut etch?

It's definitely a cool design, and the fact Dylan created it adds to the mojo :) I wouldn't personally choose it for my guitars but it's up to the player's aesthetic taste.

Do you think Dv Mark multiamp is a good choice for playing '80 melodic shred leads and a bit of progressive in stile of dream theater?

Yes, it's a great choice for leads and sparkly cleans definitely. Not more than that though :)

What's the deal with Bare KNuckles in a JP7, I heard you have to get the cavity widened if you want pickup covers. Is this true?

- take measurements of you jp's cavities
- check covered bkps' dimensions on their website
- ?????
- PROFIT!!!!
I'd just put open coils on JPs since they have a little more high end and JPs are generally darker guitars so it balances better.

Preferred DAW Preferred Interface Preferred monitoring headphones Preferred Monitoring speakers AND Preferred computer. GO! =D

First is my preferred choice, but all the others are excellent too:
- Ableton, Logic
- RME Fireface UFX, Universal Audio Apollo Quad
- Sennheiser HD650, Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro, Audio Technica ATH M50
- Event Opals, Barefoot Micromain 27
- iMac 27

Would you recommend a Juggernaut neck and ceramic Nailbomb bridge in a JPXI-7? I want the neck to have clear mids and lows and the bridge to have crisp high end for solos and riffs

That would be indeed a nice choice for the JPXI 7, good one!

Hey man how are you? I want to buy a good 7 string for atm 1000euro, i was thinking about jp70, what do u think? Do you have a better sugestion?

Check out the Ran Crusher FT.

Is there any guitar finish where burnt chrome pickups look really good or will it forever look cheesy?

They'd look very good in a properly color-matched swirl or a Prism PRS maybe.

Can you talk to me about those Tone Tubby speakers? whats your favorite one and why ?

I just tried the Hempcones in a Diezel cab at Musikmesse two years ago, was blown away. Very very clear sounding speakers, tight but unforgiving :)

whats your approach on composing?

I noodle around until something cool comes out, then I toy with it to make it more complete, or better. When I'm satisfied with the result I record it to remember it and store it in a folder that contains other stuff within the same BPM range, and then if the part I wrote calls for being a verse-chorus-prechorus-break-intro etc, I then put the stuff into another subfolder named as the song part.
Then when I have enough ideas I put the ones that flow well together and start building the song!

I play Death metal on a 7 string Ibby (25,5" scale) tuned to G#. I have on it the SH6 from Seymour Duncan. What strings do you recommend? I need a very clear tone and strings that last, my sweat is something like hydrochloric acid lol

I'd recommend Elixirs, 10-52 set plus a 68. It would be just perfect
