what else do you think is necessary to buy with the axe fx other than the axe fx itself to get the most out of it?

I'd say either good monitors or wedges/poweramp & cab. That's it! To get the most out of it, read the forum, experiment and tweak a lot, and read the manual!

Hey dude, few questions, when you used the Axe-Fx Ultra what amp for high gain patchs you prefered? And what amp your other guitarist is using atm? And btw in a live situation it's possible to run one output to power amp + cab and another output to the mix board ? thanks mate!

I remember Dual Recto and Das Metall being my favourites on the Ultra, but just use your ears to figure out what's best for you.
Giacomo just sold his Ultra to buy a II so :)
Yes it's possible but for cohesiveness and consistency I'd use both to mix board.

I have a Fender Stratocaster American Special Alder body, Maple neck and fretboard. looking for a hotter bridge then my Texas Special bridge pickup and I am thinking of either Tone Zone S or the Seymour Duncan SSL 5 or 6 please help :(

Tone Zone S would indeed work very well.

aside from celestion v30... what over celestion speaker works great for your music? and any other brand?

V30s are my favourites, I also like K100s and Lynchbacks. I like Eminence Legends and Manowars, and there's a company called Tone Tubby that makes unreal sounding ones called Hempcones, very detailed.

do you change tuning often or do you have a designated tuning for each guitar?

I prefer to have one guitar for each tuning: resetting action, intonation and string gauge everytime doesn't do good to the guitar. Of course if it's only matter of dropping a string who cares, but from E standard to drop C and from drop C to drop A it's another story :)

I have a 6 string basswood body, waple/walunt neck with a rosewood fretboard. What bare knuckle pickups would go well with what and also what would be the better option? I mainly want a neck pickup which would sound lovely for lead playing and I mostly play progressive metal.

I'd say the new Juggernaut set fits your description

I've got a 6 string mahogany body, maple neck w/rosewood fingerboard, I play progressive metal in Eb/Drop C# and need a bridge pickup that is TOIGHT but versatile. I've got a set of DiMarzio CL/LF in it and don't like them. What do you reccomend? I've already decided on the VHII neck. Thank you!

Ceramic Nailbomb bridge NAILS your description. I have ceramic NB and VH2 in many guitars, always a good combo!

what pickups would you suggest to Ibanez Iron label 7 RGIR. (active) i play mostly prog/Djent and Metalcore and deathcore.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your Koa JP7, your old JP12-7, and the Sterling JP70?

It's pretty end of itself and doesn't mean anything, but anyway price considered: koa 9, jp12 8.5, sterling 8

A JP7 is too expensive for me atm, is there something almost as good for half the price (around $1000 US)? I need a trem

Carvin!

can you read anything besides english and italian?

I can understand the general meaning if it's spanish, but nothing more I think :)

hey dude, I am looking for a 7 string at around 1 grand USD. Does the carvin dc727 sound good for that? I will probably change out the pickups later. What would you suggest?

I'd suggest either the DC700 or DC727. There is NO better guitar for 1 grand.

I played an older JP6 BFR (burst with rosewood fretboard) and it felt terrible, the finish was like plastic and the bolt on joint was like the one on a $500 guitar. Was this a dud or do they all feel that way?

Perhaps a dud, I find the neck joint THE best among bolt-ons and their gloss finish is sooooo smooth and shiny.

Are there anything you don't like about the JP 7 string guitars, or are they pretty much perfect to you?

Only thing would be that I found them to work amazing only if set up perfectly, otherwise there would be either too much buzz or too much string tension. If you find the sweet spot, it's gold. Other stuff, maybe they are a hair more susceptible to humidity/weather change than other guitars, nothing that the handy visible truss rod doesn't fix once in a while.

Do you have a guitar equiped with a warpig ? And if yes or not, will you make someday a video about this pickup ? Ps: do you intend to put a pair of juggernaut on one of your guitars

Yes I have an incoming guitar with a Warpig (pics on monday) and yes I'll do a vid with it. Yes I'll also do a Juggernaut test

How do you automatically know what the best pickup for a guitar is?

Haha I don't "automatically" know it and definitely I'm far from knowing how other people's guitars, hands and gear sound like, but what I do is general suggestions based on the character/eq that a certain pickup has, coupled with my experience with pickups in various guitars.
