ti piace il primo album dei meshuggah?

Sinceramente manco lo ricordo, però se è quello con Humiliative spacca di brutto!

What do you think of Drop Ab tuning?

It's a tuning like any other, but honestly speaking, if you already play Tech/Progressive/Djent oriented stuff, playing in the same Periphery tuning is not the best thing to help your musical personality. Of course there are exceptions like Intervals etc, but that's just my opinion.

Damn, I'd love to add BKPs to my guitars but $350 a set is too much for a regular person :(

You can still find excellent pickups from other brands, but I do think BKPs are better. They also have an incredible range of choices, which doesn't hurt.

When you're changing guitar strings, how do you know what length of string will get wrapped around the post? Its very hard for me to tell if the previous set is discarded and i don't know the string lengths

I don't wrap strings around the post, when I have to restring I just put the hole facing the nut, then insert the string on it and turn. By turning and achieving the desired pitch, generally speaking it doesn't have more than one or two turns around the post. I cut all the excess :)

Do you still have to buy Bare Knuckles if you're endorsed?

Yes, with my BKP artist relationship I obtain a discount which is similar to how much dealers buy them for.

what pickups in kxk?

Currently I have an Aftermath set, but gonna replace them with ceramic Nailbomb bridge and VH2 neck.

Do you use an Elixir low string for your JP7, standard tuning?

It depends: if I'm recording important stuff I use D'Addarios, they sound slightly better imho. For everything else I use Elixirs, they sound good and last forever! On standard tuning their 56 is just perfect.

Do you like Kamelot? Newest album is amazing

I was into Power Metal more in my teens, not that much now but I still dig good music and melodies regardless of the genre of course. Yes I like Kamelot!

Even though I'm almost tone deaf and can't learn music theory, you inspire me to play better no matter what. You're one of my heroes.

Theory is not that important, just play what feels good for ya and rock out! Thanks :)

"it's very tough when you have zero support and you're on your own" You have fans though, thousands of them :) The metal guitar community is tighter than a nun's vagina

Thanks man! I appreciate all the support, direct support from family matters a lot but unfortunately I never had it. It's words like yours that make me go on with my musical path, really :)

Engl powerball vs Mega Boogie Dual rectifier for rhythm, leads (shred), good sustain, definition, full sound, for a emg81-7 and 707=? BTW!!! Thx 4 ur time!! U do a great job!

Neither, I don't like em :) maybe you will, I dunno, but for me EVH 5150III gives everything you described, and more.

I want to try Elixir set .009 to .042 plus .054 and .065 Elixir single strings for a DC800, will it work? Thanks a lot.

Does Elixir produce 65 gauge? Last I remember they just do 56 and 68. Anyway I'd personally do 9-42+56+72 or 9-46+60+74, I don't know your tuning but these gauges work for F# standard and drop E.

Any advice for facebook addicted musicians? :/ I know it may sound weird, but i constantly look at my phone or my fb tab, when working on my DAW, resulting in unproductive breaks every 15 minutes. ._. Cheers mate!

Story of my life haha :) I deactivated sound notifications from cellphone or Facebook itself so that I check everything at once when I remember, otherwise it gets way out of hand with blips and blops. Another trick is to turn off your router, so you're forced to do stuff without internet.
Facebook is cool, you keep contact with your friends and people, but you have to set yourself priorities otherwise you end up with unproductive days.

Would it be okay if I could shoot you a few questions on Facebook?

If they're specific and require longer answers, sure :) if not, just hit me up here

Sorry I'm just new to the whole preamp/recording world, haha but thank you for your answer you're a really cool dude haha.

Thanks man!

How do you get high level of distortion without it bleeding everywhere?

You mean "punchy high gain distortion but still being tight and controllable"? If yes, I'd say three factors mainly:
- tubescreamer
- gain amount dialed in accurately
- fuckin good hands and performance from the guitarist
Btw, bleeding is a technical term that states a certain instrument being captured by another microphone, for example drums on your singer's mic signal when playing live.

Why are BKP so expensive compared to other pickups?

Because they are hand wound and use the highest quality materials to deliver their tone. The fact they sound so good justifies the price imho.
