hi francesco! do you like monuments with barretto? i think that he fit perfect with monu now

I've never been into Monuments that much, Barretto is an exceptional singer/musician and I'm sure he'll do well with them but I personally think it's a bit weird to see many bands with the same frontman :)

I like em for sure but never been too much into them

Should I go with amazing guitar first with having to deal with a nice-ish practice amp for a while or go Axe FX II and have to deal with an Ok/ (a little shitty)guitar for a while.

Go Axe Fx II. It has an outrageous amount of beautiful sounds and can turn every shitty guitar into gold.

When did you learn English?

I started at 6yo in school like everybody, I admit I've always had pretty good teachers but the big part is tv shows, videogames, and of course internet.

What live shows have you seen recently? Is there a lot of metal shows in italy?

Kiss and Meshuggah/Decapitated. There is a decent amount of shows, can't complain, but it could be better

ewwwww wtf is on your mind? Anyway, Les Paul is a hystorical, classic shape and seeing one with a Floyd looks very "blasphemous".

I just bought a new set of 11's for my 8-string, which have a low 80. Do you reckon this is bad for the neck?

11s? On a baritone 8 string? That is surely overkill. Any specific reason why you've opted for them? I'd lower the gauge for sure.

Do you read guitar magazines?

I don't think magazines are that useful in the internet era, this includes guitar magazines. I'm not saying they're not good resources though :) I'd just prefer digital magazines in iPad version for example.

When you say there are over 60 layers of synths on the Abio teaser 2, did you mean over 60 layers in the one clip, that entire song or the entire album?

I mean in the clip. They're not at the same time, but think about it this way: 5 different synths are blended together to form a more complex tone, and this tone will enhance a certain part, for example my lead part. Then 5 other synths will together form a texture that goes well with the rhythm guitar tone underneath, etc. In the end it's a subtle effect but it adds lots of air and that "huge" effect. I'm gonna post a guitar+synth version of our last vid so that you can get it more :)

The tone in the vid is just (as the vid states) djent djent purr purr, and can be achieved with any guitar as long as you do it with the correct technique. If you want that exact tone, Axe Fx and BKP Black Hawks will help you even more since that's what Misha is using.

It has never been a big indpiration on me but I surely love his playing

who knows :) I'd actually love to move but work and band are here so that's the priority for now

have you tried true temperament frets and do they make any difference?

Yes, I've tried them on Allan Marcus' Strandberg 8, the material they're made of is weird, kinda like a bronze composite. No they don't make any difference at all in feel or playability

They rule, but I prefer others made by custom swirl companies

Nah, very rarely buy stuff from evilbay nowadays. All the best guitars are sold in other, more friendly places than that fees monster

Would you say your years in college was worth it?

If you mean university, no not at all, I didn't pursue it anyway. High school and graphic design school were much more important to me
