What would happen if you tone matched a keyboard/synth stem (Rudess lead for example) with the Axe Fx II? Would it sound the same or sound like absolute garbage?

What people often don't get about tonematching is that it's just EQ-matching, not the inherent tone. So the matched tone will have more or less the same EQ curve but it could be either distorted, clean, crunch, good, bad, whatever!

Do you like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry etc?

not to the point where in the middle of the day I'd love to hear one of their songs :)

Where can I find a bridge pickup as hot as you? ;)

Probably in some places that have 98 °F, that's my temperature at least

Bella!

Do you speak French ? It's the closest to Italian I've heard.

Italian and french are nothing alike! Spanish is closer.

When tweaking your tones on Axe Fx, do you try and make them "mix-ready" (without compromising great sound of course), like hi-pass/low-pass/clean up the muddy mid range etc, or you just go with whatever sounds great and eq them later, or maybe a bit both? :)

I personally prefer to leave everything you mention for the mixing stage, and instead try to achieve the best "source tone" that can be shaped further to suit a certain mix.
That being said, no source tone should have a muddy midrange. If that's the case, tweak more!

Dove hai imparato l'inglese così bene?

What BKP's would you recommend for a 6 string with mahogany body, maple neck, ebony fretboard, tone pro bridge with string through body and coil tap switch, tuned to e standard/drop d. bridge=rhythm tones in the style of opeth, dream theater. neck=good jazz/blues clean tones with coil tap available

Opeth and Dream Theater have very different rhythm tones! That being said, you didn't mention if it was a neck thru/bolt-on/set-in which changes a lot, but I assume it's neck thru or set neck, just because.
I'd say Holy Diver in the bridge can be warm, classic and versatile but still with excellent punch when required. In the neck I'd go for a Holy Diver too!

Hey Francesco! Greetings from India, You're fuckin amazing! If I may ask,do you have any idea about the Indian metal/music scene? :)

Thanks! I know some Indian artists like Vishal Singh (I've played a guest solo on his recent Robots Pulling Levers album, I also love Amogh Symphony), Keshav Dhar and Skyharbor, but not much else unfortunately.

the JP has a floating bridge, so it's not as good for riffing recording as a fixed bridge one ?

This is actually a good question, and there are pros and cons: JPs handle tuning really good, exactly like a stable fixed bridge guitar, they don't suffer from issues related to other trem-bridges.
That being said I notice that if you don't block the trem with a Tremol-No or similar, they can go easily out of tune when you "purr" since you press the palm on the bridge which has a cavity, and "declines" rather than staying straight. It can be an annoying issue, it is for me at least so I've purchased a Tremol-No to solve this and have the best of both worlds.

What do you think is better.. Buy a really cheap seven string, while I save up for my custom Carvin or Acacia guitars. Or just buy a couple $400-$100 range 7 strings??

Always save for what you really want and be 100% satisfied with it, instead of wishing "if only I waited a bit more".

have you ever used softwares like GR5, pod farm, amplitube, etc. How'd you find them to be?

Yes I have, and this is my experience:
- GR5 is good for cleans and effects, kinda horrible for distorted rhythm tones
- Pod Farm is fuckin good and can achieve amazing rhythm tones
- Amplitube is ok on both rhythm, lead and clean
- Waves GTR is usable too, expecially good for leads
- Revalver is my favourite, pretty fuckin good on everything and achieves brutal rhythm tones
- LePou stuff is pretty good too, and free! give 'em a try, they rule

What BKPs do you recommend for an 8 string with swamp ash body, bolt-on wenge/bubinga neck, ebony fretboard, Evertune, coil tap switch, tuned in drop E? Looking for a tight bridge PU for rhythm tones like Periphery/After the Burial, and a neck PU for clean/tapping tones like Animals as Leaders.

Aftermath bridge, Painkiller neck.

why don't you answer my pickup questions?

If only I could know which ones you're referring to, dear anonymous :) maybe question was repetitive and I slipped it, best to refresh my old memory!

What are your go-to guitars?

As of now, Blackmachine B2, Blackmachine B6, JP7 Koa, RG550. They cover everything I need.

What specs would you make your DC800?

Question is too vague, it depends on which would be the purpose of the instrument (live/studio/sound I'm looking for etc).

Can you give us any details about your guitar endorsement? I know it must feel un-real

It's an incredible company and I'm truly honored to be part of it. Can't wait to receive my first guitar from this relationship :)
