Do you have Any pro Tone pedals ? What di you think about the dead horse od ?

I don't, I haven't tried one and actually I'd be curious to try it, but for a certain reason I think classic Maxon OD808 (or 820) would still be unbeatable.

If someone blindfolded you and started playing random guitars, would you be able to tell anything about the guitar being played (pickups, wood, construction etc?)

It depends, I'm not Superman haha :) But if there's an A/B/C/etc comparison between various pickups, cabinets amps etc I'm usually correct about "which is which".

I have a '95 jackson DKMG and i have the same block on the neckjoint, the guitar fucken resonates, but it feels awful playing in higher frets :c, should i get used to it ?

I guess so!

Secondo te qual'è la canzone metal più difficile da suonare?:)

Quella senza l'apostrofo dopo il qual!

what are some of your favorite scales to improv over ???'

I like all notes and note combinations indiscriminately

How much music theory do you know? Is it important to know a lot if you want to play guitar?

No, it's not important. Just play, noodle around and enjoy the guitar as much as you can.

I'm the ibby rg550 guy, so, if i buy one do you think that i could reshape the heel ? did you ever tried it with your luthier ?

don't do it, that's what AANJ heels are for (from '93 until today)

what is your biggest country and jazz inlfuece .. Surely you have many . But could you narrow it down to the untracherged???' This becouse I see bunch of folks and kids zooming into metal and not many other styles being so popular.

I don't have a biggest country influence but I surely enjoy playing country licks from time to time. Although regarding Jazz and fusion I love bands like Weather Report, Mahavisnu Orchestra, Return To Forever, Jaga Jazzist. Guitarists would be Frank Gambale, Shawn Lane, Allan Holdsworth, Alex Hutchings, Tom Quayle, Rick Graham, Martin Miller and tons of others

Likes of Ritchie Kotzen doing shred work but with so untrendiness.you know funk, jazz, blues, manushe country ect.. I love your work don't get me wrong just wondering !!

I don't get the question

How do you keep your guitars when they aren't played? are they kept on racks or always in the case?

I have a normal rack with 6 or 7 spots and another "circular" one for 3 guitars made by Hercules stands

hello there mate!!!! eagerly waiting on you Abio. release. My question: I see you are big on metal but do you play anything other than? surely you have influences minimum.. mind sharing ???

I'm big on Metal of course but I do love and enjoy playing jazz, blues, country, funk, basically everything that helps me being more complete as a musician. Favourite music apart from metal would be classical, film scores, electronic/techno

Ehilà, quando avevi 17 anni circa, che suonavi generalmente e che studiavi? Domanda molto vaga, grazie :)

A 17 anni erano già 4 anni che suonavo quindi ero già abbastanza rodato...facevo ancora pochissimo di solista ma sapevo praticamente tutti i pezzi di metallica slayer etc

Do you like prog metal a lot?

It depends on the band. I like progressive in the sense that has no boundaries and everything flows and evolves like a well oiled machine. Like Extol or Leprous

Hey dude :) As we all know, you are a pro when it comes to legatos, but, how did you get there? What was the first step you took, and what was the process for you to get where you are at this stage legato wise. Cheers :D

I don't think legato is my best technique, but I feel pretty comfortable with it.
Very first step would be to replicate all the scales you've always done with alternate, but with legato of course.
The final step should be mastering the famous monster legato lick from Petrucci's Rock Discipline DVD, and even further the legatos within Ritchie Kotzen Rock Chops DVD.

What do you think about metalcore?

As with all genres, some bands are killer and some are generic as fuck. Good music prevails over the genre :)

Hi Francesco, what is weather like in your part of Italy during summer? Cheers

I live north east, close to Croatia and Austria but also close to Venice. It always rains here, but this summer is being quite good. It's always damp as fuck though

If the album is taking a long time to finish, you should release a single on YouTube and iTunes. It's a great way to get new fans

That's exactly what we're going to do, but the track will be downloadable for free and have an official video

Do you still have your first recording ever? Would love to listen to it and compare with your nowaday's epicness :)

Now that I think of it, I do! I'll probably upload it one day haha. I even have Powertab files from 2002, my very first songs
