If you could get a professional music video made for an Abiogenesis song, what kind would it be? Would it just be the band playing, band + scenery, partially animated, completely animated, abstract visuals etc? :)

Good question, we're actually thinking about the concept for our first video right now since we have it booked in november. Let's see what comes out, I hope it will be good hehe :)

What price range would you charge for a guest solo on an album? $50 to $200?

Depends on the length and if I'm required to do something particular but it's usually around 50 bucks, best to contact me privately if you have more specific questions :)

I know you listen to non metal music a lot but would you be interested in writing non metal songs and stuff

Yes actually time ago I was very into electronic music, still have some stuff I did somewhere on my hard drive :) When I'm in the mood for something different I just pick my acoustic or semi hollow and noodle around. What comes out is actually part of Abiogenesis' songs, just mellower parts or breaks.

Did you like the first two albums of Carcass?

ummm yes but not as much as Heartwork and Necroticism. Some stuff off Symphonies Of Sickness is fantastic

Does the BM headstock ever bother you?

I think it looks amazing and unique. I remember Doug mentioned that it's inspired from the B.C. Rich shape but with a different vibe of course :)

Did you like the Skervesen you tried?

yes, skervesen are generally very high quality and the one I tried sounded brutal as fuck!

"what's that thing wrapped around your head? your mom's legs" - wow so endorsement so edge

actually that's a line from Ola or Keith don't remember who said it but it was funny :D

When people ask you how many hours you practice every day, they're interested in knowing how many hours you practice every day. Everyone knows that quality > quantity and that people learn at different rates.

when I was young, I asked how many hours my teacher practiced per day because I thought I had to do everything exactly like him to get at his level. Unfortunately not everybody knows that quality > quantity, it might be a stupid example but check in your local gym how many people lift tons of weight with crappy execution :D

On your Wallpaper of ibanez (which is also my desktop wallpaper :D) you have some sexy ibanez. Can you tell me what are the models (with the colors) Thanks !

How many languages do you speak?

italian and english fluently, I also try to speak spanish sometimes failing at it :) in my area there's another language called "friulano", it's more like a dialect

What's the most annoying questions musicians ask you?

I wouldn't say annoying but some are kinda useless, here's a list:
- "which string gauge does X guy use?" just buy some of them, try them and compare how they feel to you, which is surely different than X or Y guys. it's not going to cost an arm so just do it :)
- "kemper or axe fx?" if you're good at making tones, they'll both sound amazing. if you're not, they will still be good
- "how do you afford this and that?" I rob banks
- "how many hours a day do you practice/how long have you been playing?" it's always about how you do stuff, not how much. quality > quantity
- "where can I buy a blackmachine?" you can't, unfortunately
- "strandberg vs vik vs blackmachine vs daemoness vs whatever?" in the end they're just different, not better or worse than the others
- "what's that thing wrapped around your head?" your mom's legs
- "how do I write prog/djent/tech/death/whatever?" or "how to write more interesting stuff?" there is no answer to that. It might sound douchey but you either have it or you don't, if you have it then ideas and stuff will come naturally out of your hands, without forcing to do certain stuff or sound like this and that
- "what is your favourite scale?" music is about balance between aggressive and mellower moments, happy and more dark stuff, very fast or more slow-paced grooves. regardless of scale, play whatever fits the mood you're striving for
- "I've noticed you use X stuff, are they good?" wellll... :)
- "how do I get better at X technique?" practice, there's no broscience about it. doing some research on the right exercises can help of course, rather than picking a random alternate or sweep picking pattern for example
- "which picks do you use?" see answer about string gauges
- "ebony vs rosewood vs maple vs whatever etc" see answer on guitar brands
To conclude this, generally speaking I appreciate all kinds of questions but people should just play more and trust common sense, rather than, like we say in italy, dedicate themselves to "mental masturbation" :)

Let's assume there are two music festivals going on simultaneously in different cities, one of them has Meshuggah performing and the other has Tesseract. Which one will you go to?

I'd say Tesseract since I haven't seen 'em live yet.

Hi Francesco! Any opinion about the DV Mark Multiamp?

Stay away. One of my students just brought it to my place the other day to try it: while it's good on cleans and leads, sucks badly at distorted rhythm tones, you cannot upload impulses and the USB port is completely useless.
