I'm at the beach in south Carolina, and I never know what a earthquake is like at all.. in my 21 years of living I have never been in a earthquake.. Do you happen to know can they happen at a beach and have you been trhough one?

Yes, and no nothing major. Apparently I've been awake when super minor ones have happened near the area before but I've never noticed anything.

Do you get a lot of tornados in your area of KY?

There's a fair amount of thunderstorms but I've never had any close calls with tornadoes or anything. I've seen one pass by like half an hour away from the house but that's as close as it's ever gotten so far.

If you had to pick from any Water Temple in the LoZ series that's your favorite, which would it be?

The one from Twilight Princess I guess. Lakebed Temple or something I think?

What is your favorite snow level of all time?

If Shadow Moses in MGS4 counts, definitely that. I also really like the mountain in Mother 3.

What did you think of the design and music for Rainbow Road in the trailer for MK8?

I didn't actually watch it with headphones on, it's probably fine. I do like the idea of using the old SNES Rainbow Road textures on that track now that the graphics are there to pull it off and make it not give me a headache.

You were saying something about regular livestreams?

I'm actually taking vacation this week (didn't go anywhere, just hiding from the world for a week) but yeah I had this weird idea to just take an RPG or something and stream it for a few hours twice a week or whatever until we finish it. I don't know if it's going to be a feature I actually follow up with or not right now but it's one of those things I came up with during that time period where I just got ideas for something different to do in light of this recent video slump.

Do you like at the end of a video game where you fight all of the bosses of the game?

Again it depends on the context, if it's a situation where you're fighting earlier bosses that are the same strength that they were and you can just steamroll them now because you're so much stronger then yes I totally love that. Straight up boss gauntlets that end up being relatively the same feel like they end up in the "padding" territory more often than not.

How would you design a video game dungeon and it's boss?

This depends so heavily on the style of the game, the characters, the plot, etc. that to be practical in any way it needs a lot more context, but if just had to pick one something snow/ice themed.

You said you are self monetized now, correct? How does that work? Is it the option to monetize through YouTube itself that keeps notifying me when I upload? I thought about doing it just for the scheduled uploads and the potential my channel has but I'm not sure I should.

I got one or two e-mails to that effect years ago but I haven't gotten one in a long time so I wouldn't know what that's referring to nowadays. In a nutshell go to Video Manager --> Channel Settings and Monetization is one of the options. Enable monetization, set up an AdSense account (and link a bank account), fill out the digital W9 form and all that and you're monetized. That's basically all I did.

How hard do you think it is to turn a video game into a T.V. series or a movie?

A T.V. series is probably way easier if you can think about it like a continuous multi-part episode. Video game movies are tough, which is why when you hear "it's a movie about a video game" it's usually meant in a derogatory sense. A fundamental part of the video game experience is the interactivity. Stories and characters stick because you are directly in control of their lives and it makes it a lot easier to be immersed and feel like you're sharing those experiences. No matter how good the movie is from a cinematic standpoint it'll always feel a little uncanny watching adaptations of them on a movie screen with this wall separating you.
Of course if you've never played the game in question before some of this becomes less of an issue, so with a good story it's definitely possible to at least make a decent movie out of it, as long as you have directorial staff that genuinely wants to make something unique instead of just cashing in on a popular franchise.

Have you seen Fabric of the Cosmos with Brian Greene? If not, you should check it out, it is as good as Cosmos?

I haven't, but I'll have to look into it sometime. Thanks.

What do you think I should do? I have depression and I'm trying to fix it and I'm trying everything to try to be happy again: playing with friends, sports, etc. but I don't want to take anti-depressants. Is that the only solution?

I'm guessing you're still in school, talk with your guidance counselor about it. I'm not really qualified to give you advice here, if you've tried everything you can and still aren't really able to shake it it's probably a good idea to talk to someone knowledgeable about it.

Oh, so the "password" is more like an HTML/programming code?

...No, it's just the game's built-in continue system. You can visit a travel journal place in any town in the game and it will give you a password that will let you continue your game from where you left off if you needed to turn it off and come back later. This was in the days before hard drives and memory cards, you know.

How did you get that onto the actual cartridge?

(cont.) ... The Mystical Ninja emulator I mean
-----------------
I maxed out my money on an emulator and then got the in-game password to continue from where I left off, and just entered that password on the real hardware.

How did you use "emulator magic" on your Legend of the Mystical Ninja LP to get your $$$ up to max?

Savestates and fast forward.

Did you ever play the Goemon sequels for the N64?

I own Goemon's Great Adventure, the only other N64 Goemon game aside from MNSG was some board game that was only released in Japan.

In LoZ: OoT, if the Triforce was touched by an evil person, the Triforce would split and the other parts would go to those chosen by destiny, which is Link and Zelda. If someone other than Ganondorf took the Triforce, who do you think was destined to the Triforce of Power?

The guy who runs the fishing mini-game.

To the person mentioning the Google pokemon thing, it was an april fools joke.

Obviously the video and competition for a job thing are jokes but as far as I'm aware unless this is the most well-orchestrated joke between every major tech news site in history Google did actually push "catching" capabilities to the iOS and Android apps:

I don't have a smartphone anyway.

How happy will you be if KY wins March Madness?

The sooner they lose the sooner I can stop having to sift through endless gloating on social media (this is how important KY basketball is to me)

Do you/did you used to play any instruments?

Piano from when I was a kid till I graduated high school, drums from then on.
