My ps3 shuts off in game. Light turns off too. But I can go onto the ps store. Think if I buy the accidental warranty I can say it's broken and get a new one immidiently after?

That's... not how it works. If you didn't already purchase an extended warranty and your standard warranty (a year, I think) has run out, that's all you get.

The reviews for MGS5 were insanely good, but (I don't know if I'm in the wrong here) it seems that the majority of avid MGS fans were a little bit disappointed by the game. What's your take, Batman?

I was more than a little disappointed; MGS5 is basically good gameplay and that's it. Don't get me wrong, the gameplay was GREAT, but literally everything else was mediocre or worse. Even then, some of the "boss fights" in particular were just frustrating. After completing all the main and sub missions I was glad to be done with it, no plans on ever picking it up again.

Thoughts on Mike Piazza and Ken Griffey Jr. making the baseball HOF?

Well yeah, of course they were. They were both pretty much already considered future hall-of-famers while they were playing. Ken Griffey Jr. also has the best baseball video game.

What are your thoughts on xenoblade x? If you plan to play the original, it's basically that battle system and story focused. (A pretty phenomenal story at that) Also a lot of the mechanics and systems in x aren't in the original. Not to say the original is worse or better, but they're each awesome

See my last answer on this I guess, but if it's less mechanics and more story I'd at least consider it.

What are your thoughts on on Trump calling for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration?

I think he misunderstood the word "great" in his slogan.

Batman, what are your thoughts on on Xenoblade Chronicles X so far?

It's complicated, honestly. I think I like it but where XCX and I clash is that I'm staying for a different reason than the game wants me to. I genuinely like the characters and the story, but it insists on keeping those things to brief missions and instead making me run around collecting five of this and six of that. Overdrive! Skells! Flying! Like I want less game mechanics and just more doing stuff with my people, you know?
I'm sticking with it for that reason but more and more I'm realizing that this a game that doesn't want to respect my time, giving me vague directions for collectibles and hiding story missions behind survey percentages, and hiding character stories behind a dozen hours of level-up time. It's a little baffling because they did SO GOOD with the fast travel system that really speeds it up, but then insist on making me spend all that time just to get to the stuff I wanna see. I'm taking a break from it right now so I can just power through the rest of it sometime later.

Thoughts on Mario Maker?

Seems good, though I haven't really fiddled with it beyond making one level. Mostly because people on average are bad at making Mario levels, also because I've been trying to power through Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Any ideas for the game you will play once you finish dragoon?

I'm not thinking about it much right now, Dragoon needs to finish first. Most immediate issue is getting it capture-able again since my Elgato stopped working.

Have you ever played Bastion?

I've played it for a few hours. I really liked the style but for whatever reason wasn't really digging the gameplay that much.

On the topic of Blitzball, how do you feel about Final Fantasy 10 overall?

Pretty good game for the most part.

Damn, that's impressive with the Blitzball! I imagine you're really damn good at it! Any chance you'd ever make a video? I'd love to watch someone who is really good actually show some of the harder stuff when it comes to that!

Blitzball is actually super easy, and pretty much everyone figures out the strategy instantly. You get someone fast/tough to lure defenders back toward your own end, then pass it to one of your forwards who is wide open. By higher levels any true forward's (and Keepa's) SH way outclasses any goalie's CA, and if you get stuff like Invisible Shot you can score from literally anywhere in the sphere. You either win 12-0 every match or score one and then sit in your own goal where they'll never get you for the rest of the game.

What game has your favorite soundtrack?

Game soundtracks are tricky things because they can be good in a multitude of ways. Mother 3 has really tight integration with gameplay and songs that are fun to combo to, but listening to it on its own doesn't do it the same justice. In that sense, that's my favorite. Something like Secret of Mana though has a soundtrack that you could just put on in the background and enjoy listening to without any other context, so in that sense, that's my favorite.

What are your thoughts on Obama?

I don't think enough people remember the alternative candidates for the last two elections. Obama is reasonable, forward-thinking, and has done what he can with a very politically divided nation.

Top 3 favorite games you played this year?

In no particular order: Undertale, Witcher 3, Mass Effect Trilogy (I know it's old but I played it for the first time this year)

How do you feel about Blitzball?

I had a save file once upon a time with hundreds of hours put into it where all of the Blitzball players were level 99, so... it's okay I guess.
