Now that you got a DS, has anyone told you to get Pokemon Black or White? I know you're not a large fan of the RPGs, but those games heavily address the whole animal abuse thing you have about Pokemon and it's worth checking out. On another note, got any not RPG Pokemon games you are/were a fan of?

Everyone was telling me to get it way before I even had one. It's not happening. I think I played the trading card game that came out on Game Boy back in the day, also had Pokemon Pinball at the time. Played through Snap once, that was right on the tail end of me not being into it anymore. That's all I can think of but I might be missing something.

What music have you been listening to lately?

I've had some Haken on recently, haven't really listened to a whole lot lately though.

What was your ACT or SAT score. And what was your average gpa? I just started high school and I know freshmen year isn't counted by universities, but I wanna know if there's anything I could / should do right now to help me out in the future when it actually does matter the most.

4.2 GPA (Advanced Placement courses) and 34 ACT. All you can really do is make sure you do the best you can in your classes every year, and also take the ACT every chance you get. Only your best score gets sent out so you want as much experience as possible.

How many years did it take to pay off your college loans.

Didn't have any, received a full academic scholarship.

Do you like computer science?

I've never really had any formal experience with it. Not something I delve into.

Did you ever play Gears of War?

I had a roommate that had it and we played through the co-op campaigns of I think 1 and 2? Barely remember it though aside from run to the next waist-high wall and shoot things for hours on end.

Did you ever get a Nintendo 3DS and/or Nintendo WiiU?

I actually ordered a 3DS XL last week mostly for Theatrhythm and the other rhythm games I want to eventually get (Rhythm Heaven, Elite Beat Agents, Ouendan 1 & 2) and I also got Rhythm Thief which I just started today and have mixed feelings on, and Shin Megami Tensei 4 (I think that's the name) just to have a big RPG.

Why is PEMDAS mathematically correct? ex. 8 x 2 + 4 equals 20 according to PEMDAS, but who's to say that 20 is correct while 48 is wrong? Is there a "proof" for PEMDAS or is it an arbitrary rule?

It's just syntax, basically shorthand for not having to group parentheses around everything. 8 x 2 + 4 is just interpreted to mean "take eight groups of two, then add four" instead of "add four to a group of 2, then take 8 of those groups." It's not even a mathematical concept, just the way that was agreed upon to group things together when we write it down. It'd be silly to have to write ((((8 x 2) x 3) + 4) - 2).

So have any games as of recently caught your eye? And have you played any games as of recently?

Interested in Shadow of Mordor. Been trying out Archeage with a friend, not much else is going on.

Tell me, can you beat Canary Mary out at Cloud Cuckoo Land without the turbo controller?

I don't know that I've ever tried more than once when the game came out.

Which one is superior: Banjo Kazooie or Banjo Tooie and for what reason?

Neither. I probably enjoy Kazooie more since it's just the one I played the most. I feel like it was more focused and everything linked together very smoothly with unique levels that really set themselves apart, but Tooie arguably has more stuff to do and more ways to do them. They're both good games, there's no point in trying to call one superior.

What are your thoughts on the government's actions concerning ISIS?

Honestly I'm so far removed from having any representation in what the government does that I don't even bother having opinions anymore. At no point were we ever not going to take action against them; we have assets in Iraq that we just spent ten years building with all of our money that we never actually had. Even if there maybe are some good humanitarian reasons for providing support against such an extreme destructive force, it's not like they needed to be brought up to keep us over there some more.

Have you noticed how recently the internet has gotten very full of ads recently? I don't know your preference and I use Firefox, but everytime I go to a page even with ad blockers, I'm getting 5-8 ads I have to close out to see properly. And some even make more pop-ups if you close them!

You have adware. Do an antivirus scan.

You gunna pick up Shadow of Mordor?

If the general opinion upon release is as positive as the press it's getting I do have to check it out. I'm incredibly lukewarm on LoTR but it looks like an interesting game.

So I'm in high school and I care about my grades. I have a teacher but is really disorganized as in how she runs her class. She isn't clear on what the homework is and gives us papers that we dont even need until the next day. Ultimately she doesn't teach good either. Should I try to switch? I need

(cont.) ... To get a paper from her signed saying that I want to switch, and the reason for doing so, to talk to my counselor. My friend tried to switch out by saying she wasn't helping her learn, but said that wasn't a good enough reason. What should I do?

Most teachers you'll get in high school won't teach well. If you aren't able to switch, or if the other teacher isn't any better, maybe develop a plan to study some on your own or see if you can find anyone else also having trouble that you can study with.
