How do you parry multiple attacks in a row in Revengance? I thought you just kept pressing X/Square each time they attacked, but every time after the first parry Raiden tries to attack, and I get hit. Maybe I'm just a little off with timing?
You may not be resetting the analog stick each time. You can't just hold it and mash square, you also have to let go of the stick and tap it towards the enemy each time.

I dunno, I would've sucked a lot more today than I currently do I guess. I imagine it'd be largely the same just four years later.
Do you have any tricks or techniques for having the sound loud enough on your TV to hear, with a head set on, but not loud enough that it'll register in your mic? Sometimes it's hard to hear the game audio with a headset on!
Not really unfortunately. I use a Blue Yeti and it has a setting where you can only capture sound that comes from the front of it. I have my TV up about as loud as I would while normally playing and it doesn't come through in the recording at all unless you boost it like 15x from normal.
Any particular reason that you don't like the strategy RPG genre?
Too much to think about and I feel so detached from the action. I'd rather be the guy doing the fighting instead of the guy in the chair telling other people to fight.

There is no defend button, you shake the nunchuck. You always do a shield bash any time you shake it.

Music: The Only Thing I've Ever Known, Stains of Time, Collective Consciousness, It Has To Be This Way, Rules of Nature... quite a lot of them.

what ps1 emulator did you use for legend of legaia in later parts before concrom, and can you do a setup video.
ePSXe to get past the mirror scene, and pSX from then on. I'm not going to do a setup video, but there are plenty of tutorials and help pages out there if you just do a search on Google or YouTube.

The first one is by far the better song, though it could've done without the first 40 seconds. The blending of orchestral/choral sounds with a rock/metal-oriented guitar riff and drum beat makes for an interesting sound. If they had combined that with an irregular time signature or something I may have bought the game just for its music alone since that kind of direction is exactly what I like to hear. The second one is just your typical orchestra/choir boss stuff, it sounds fine but I've heard it a million times.

That's one of the worst fights I think, mostly because the arena is so small. Definitely use Ripper Mode on that one and take out one of the Mastiffs ASAP.
Do you have any hints for taking out those gorilla looking enemies (I believe they are called Mastiffs) in Metal Gear Rising?? I have more trouble with those things than with the bosses!!!!
One-on-one they're simple. Stay on the offensive and learn the timing to counter their two-handed slam attack, use defensive offense (the dodge move) to avoid their quick grab, for the slower grab (two "ticks") back away, and dodge to the side when they chase after you. If you're fighting multiple in a group, use Ripper Mode if you're at a point in the game where you have it, otherwise focus on getting one down as quickly as possible. Use blade mode to chop off limbs when they're vulnerable if it helps, toss an EM Grenade if you're really having trouble.
What made you decide to have a different background all of a sudden?
I'd had the old one for a pretty long time, like maybe a year or two? I was liking it less and less as time went on so I just figured it was time for a change.

So you discovered Dynamite Headdy (sp?), Gunstar Heroes, and all those other Genesis gems from your cousin?
Nah, pretty much everything I've LP'ed I discovered later. He wasn't super into video games so he had a few of the Sonic games and a few others, none that I really remember.
