Is it true that someone once got your username tattooed on their ass?

If random spambots on Formspring are to be believed.

I didn't think of that. When I want info I usually read articles, I forget YouTube has a broad spectrum of things uploaded onto it! Also, just to clarify, I don't mind that your videos are 30 min. They are entertaining regardless of length! I was speaking to the majority of other videos.

It's no secret that the amount of video game content on YouTube is increasing rapidly, but it only makes up a fraction of what's out there. It's growing all the time, and lifting the time limit only added more possibilities.

How much so you make from your videos

Obviously not going to give exact figures, but let's just say I don't even make enough from it to pay the rent each month, not to mention the other bills and day-to-day living expenses. The good news is, I have a job that does that.

I think YouTube should have never made it so videos could be unlimited length. With you and AngryJoe as exceptions, I can't stay interested for 20-30 minutes, and it's a huge time consumer. But I didn't make videos when there was the 10 or 15 minute limit.. Was it that bad?

Ten minutes was rough for a lot of games that didn't let you get very far in that amount of time, especially if you were doing an RPG. Fifteen was better, and I stuck with it for a while even after the time limit was lifted until I found that doing 30 minutes per video was a lot easier to work into my schedule. Removing the limit was a huge step forward for YouTube though I think. The vast majority of videos aren't related to video games and many content creators benefited immensely from it. You could upload an hour-long lecture, a two-hour debate, an hour-long podcast, a 30-minute or 1-hour theater production or comedy set you did, and the list goes on and on.

I watch a lot of Let's players and my favorite one is your Skys of Arcadia lets play. you are also my favorite lets player. the only thing other lets player do better is have schedules with more videos (but they may have no life) I've watched over 900!!! of your videos. So would you call me obsessed?

Thanks, glad you're enjoying them. Point taken about the schedule, but it's not a big concern for me. I upload what I can, when I can. This is very much a hobby for me and with a full-time job on top of the normal time demands of everyday life (plus the large amount of time it takes to actually produce the best-quality content I can) I can't do this three videos a day stuff other people do.

That's funny. He was probably just like "How did this guy get so good?" Weird fact, is I'm better at playing actual guitar than in Rock Band or Guitar Hero. I've never understood it.

I don't think the two are really that correlated. Honestly being able to read the notes on screen and translating that to the five buttons is the most important thing. Having rhythm might help but otherwise it's really its own deal.

Yeah me either, I played MW2 for a while a few years ago, but those games get old real fast. They're very repetitive. But TLoU was a refreshing take on multiplayer. It's fun for a little bit.

Yeah, for the most part I only really play online if I have friends I'm playing with. I'm probably one of the least competitive people in the world when it comes to video games. The only multiplayer I was ever really invested in was Rock Band (some RB1, mostly RB2), and that was only because they had modes where you all just played together as a band. The only time I ever did competitive mutliplayer in RB2 was when I was getting the Comeback Kid trophy (win against someone who just beat you) and I felt kind of bad because I basically just let the guy win the first match and crushed him the second time. =/

i ordered my capture card, have my game chosen out, i know the game well (kirbys return to dreamland) i have the programs and equitment, so now to the actual lets play. what are some tips to keep in mind while commentating to make it less awkward or sound better.

Talk to your audience and not just to yourself, realize that your first commentary probably isn't going to be very good (everyone sucks when they first start out) and don't get too hung up if you think you said something wrong, and most importantly just relax and have fun. It won't sound awkward if you're just being yourself and having a good time.

What are your thoughts on the idea of Senator Armstrong DLC?

It'd be interesting but it'd be hard to realistically make it a challenge without just making him much more vulnerable than he is during the story. I'd rather have a Winds DLC to try out Mistral, Monsoon and Sundowner.

Have you played The Last of Us multiplayer? It is pretty decent. Better than CoD or whatever online multiplayer people are playing now.

I've played it a little bit, it's pretty fun. I've never really been big into online multiplayer though.

would you feel offended if I tell you I love you for making awesome videos

Why would I be offended by that? Thanks by the way.

So sunny is the female version of george? And do the 2 like each other, or just george.

Not even close. George was just introduced in this game as a former street beggar in Guyana, Sunny is a child prodigy with a long background in the MGS series. She was even mostly responsible for the worm that destroyed the Patriot AIs. There's basically nothing similar between them other than their age and dealings with Raiden. Nothing is known about their relationship outside of the ending scene. He was probably teasing her anyway since she wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying and was engrossed in her work, and figured that would get her attention.

What's your fondest memory, like the first one that comes to mind? :)

No one memory really comes up, the first thing I thought of was any time summer would come around back when we were kids. Once you got out of school on that last day it meant it was time for vacations, to be able to spend entire days with your friends, and to basically just not worry about anything. It kind of sucks that summer starts to lose that magic when you have to work through the whole thing.

Who exactly is sunny?

Olga Gurlukovich's (from MGS2) daughter. Raiden rescued her from a Patriot facility after MGS2. Afterwards, he left her in the care of Snake and Otacon, which we saw throughout MGS4. She wasn't allowed outside in order to hide her from the Patriots, and spent the majority of time around computers. By the time the Patriot AI's were destroyed she went to school for a while but was so far ahead of her peers that it wasn't worth the time spent, so Otacon used his connections to get her a job at Solis.

Swing on the three Incendiary Flies.? umm what does that mean?

In battle, Flint has special abilities ("Brute Force"). One of these is Swing, which will deal moderate damage to all enemies on screen. He also has Strengthen Up and Toughen Up which are useful against the Mecha-Drago, and Power Smash which is good for taking out the Flying Mouse mini boss quickly. You should probably familiarize yourself with these before doing an LP if you're the same person who asked for a quality check.

I agree with you. It's amazing the things people will conclude, when, in actuality, they were not even there. I do detest the prosecution's star witness using a racial slur to describe Caucasians. What has this world come to?

I don't really get offended by "cracker," but to each his own I guess. I think I know which one you were referring to, in which case they were reciting what Martin said on the phone to them, but the slur in and of itself doesn't really mean anything when it comes to Zimmerman's innocence or guilt.

Do you have an opinion on the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case? If so, what is it?

I haven't been following it actively, but I dunno, it seems to me like they probably both made some bad choices that night. Most of what's known is just from hearsay and varying witness accounts, and I doubt the prosecution has enough to actually make a murder charge stick assuming "innocent until proven guilty" still holds in our legal system. Some peoples' reactions to it have been completely out of line though. People have committed various acts of vandalism and other crimes "in protest" of how it's been handled, Spike Lee tweeted an incorrect address that led to a family being forced to leave their home to avoid harassment, there are probably death threats towards Zimmerman on a regular basis. It baffles me how people on the outside think they know the absolute truth about what happened.

Did you hear of that small baby tornado that hit myrtle beach SC today?

Nope, hadn't heard anything about it.

You weren't kidding, that Exelsus's theme is the best of the game.

That wasn't the final boss, but yeah it's pretty good.

On a scale from 1 to 10 how average would you say your life is?

This is a fascinating scale, because wouldn't 5 ("averagely average") make your life more average than 10 ("extremely average")? Assuming that's the case, I'll go with 4, but really only because of the whole YouTube thing. Apart from that I've got a job, looking at grad school, got an apartment, pay the bills, got a few hobbies, hang out with some friends every now and then... it's most likely a pretty typical life.

whats the best, most inexpensive capture card you know of. mainly wii and ps2/3. you inspired my to make my own walkthroughs.

As long as you're doing it because you think you'll enjoy it. The most inexpensive capture card I've tried that still gave me good quality was probably the Dazzle DVC 100. Don't use it to capture HD games on the PS3 though, it'll look like crap.
