You don't like Pokemon because of the repetitiveness? Cuz I sure don't but I am still a fan. But honestly, the ideas they come up with now are starting to get old. Is this why you will not do any LPs on those games?

That's one of the reasons, sure. The main overall reason I won't LP one is because I don't like them regardless of what individual reasons there are for that.

What do you think of RareWare's purchase by Microsoft in 2002? Are you upset they didn't go with Banjo-Threeie?

Largely indifferent, and not really. It's around that point that a series can start to go stale, especially because Tooie was a pretty large game as it is.

So do you listen to any video game music like tracks from any Zelda games?

No, honestly I get bored if I listen to tracks like that on their own. I may like them within the context of the game due to the ambiance they provide and the environment they enhance, but they're not really meant to carry the full entertainment load. Like I could think of Zora's Domain right now, the music there works great with the rushing waterfall and seaside torches, but outside of its context it's hard to really engage with. Its purpose is just to blend in.

A couple questions. Would you redo the Ixaness Demons fight from SoA if you had the chance? And with someone mentioning Rareware games, have you had any thoughts of doing Jet Force Gemini? That game is incredible.

No, and I did have the chance. And no, I never really got into Jet Force Gemini.

So I was rummaging through my video game collection, and I stumbled across Ghosts and Goblins for the NES. If you have it, could you do an LP for it?

I don't have it or an NES. Not planning on doing it anyway, I've only played it once for a few minutes.

Do you believe that we'll ever get to the point where every HS graduate will understand programming languages (HTML, C++, etc.)?

I'm sure there are already high schools with programming classes. If not, there will be before too long. It won't be anything in-depth though, that's not really the point of high school. I didn't even come out of college with an understanding of any programming languages in particular because our CIS program is practically nonexistent. Everything I use for my job is self-taught.

ever played Kirbys return to dreamland with your friend

I'm not sure which friend you're talking about, but no I've never played it co-op.

So uh, will you be doing any RareWare LPs like Perfect Dark or Conker's Bad Fur Day??

Well I did Donkey Kong Country, but either of those two probably not. Maybe Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie one day but nothing's set in stone.

So if I use Chrono, Marle, and Lucca (the three I've been going with up to the point I'm at except when forced to do otherwise) I should be fine?

Sounds good to me, especially if those are the three you've been building up the most. I like having Marle around for the healing/magic versatility she brings, though Frog or Robo (or even Ayla somewhat I think) can also fill that niche just with physical or shadow damage. I never really used Lucca much myself, but she's got some pretty strong techs so I can see where she'd be useful. One thing I like about that game is it's hard to find a combination of fighters that just flat out doesn't work.

Have you ever used eBay?

I've used it to check prices sometimes but I've never actually bought or sold anything on it. Auctions just aren't really for me I think. If I want to buy something online I just want to place an order, pay for it, then get it shipped out and not have to worry about the whole bidding thing.

which 3 characters do you typically use in Chrono Trigger? Also, who is your favourite character?

I think I ended up using Chrono, Marle, Robo the most but the third one could be switched out to just about anyone. If I had to pick one favorite I'd probably say Frog, but it's hard to go wrong with anyone in that game.

That's not a lot of deleted comments; aren't you glad to have such a well-mannered viewer base?

HighRollinMace’s Profile PhotoMason Atwater
In general I've almost always had kind of a more mature viewership, I think that's just the demographic my style of content is more likely to appeal to. Back when I first enabled comment approval though I usually had to deny the first few comments on almost every video because it'd be some exchange of "first; no one cares; second" but I don't really even get that anymore. I'm mostly rather proud of my comments section.

So do people troll or is it just spam on the Youtube comments that you deal with?

HighRollinMace’s Profile PhotoMason Atwater
I occasionally get people advertising their channel and very rarely "stfu loser"-type comments, but I generally remove more gratuitous spoilers (with no other purpose) than anything. I'd say the number of comments I remove is maybe 2-4 per month.

whats your favorite arkham city boss fight. mine is mr freeze because its the only one you really need to think and not just punch and counter.

I dunno, the Ra's Al Ghul part is the one I remember most, it's been a little while.

I noticed you stopped doing comment approval on your videos, any particular reason why?

HighRollinMace’s Profile PhotoMason Atwater
It's been that way for probably half a year or so. I found I was very rarely denying comments anymore, so it's easier to just take care of the few that spring up rather than have to approve all of them.

hey bats what's ur computer's processor and also how many ghz is it ?

Intel® Core™ i5-3570K, 3.4 GHz.

Do you think you will get around to Lping Legend of Dragoon sometime soon? It's just its one my oldest and favorites RPGs along with the Grandia II you also did.

BALum1995’s Profile PhotoBrandon Lum
I couldn't tell you if it'd be soon or not, I generally don't plan games out in advance. I can tell you it probably won't be next, but beyond that even I don't know.

Would you ever LP SM64? I'm guessing no because it's been done a million times, but one can never know unless they ask

Nah, I don't have anything new to give to it.

Would you ever exploit all the glitches in it like Volv did?

HighRollinMace’s Profile PhotoMason Atwater
Well, he does speed runs for it so we have different purposes in mind when we play it. If I ever did I'd just be playing around with them, but I won't be making any speed runs and I'm not really too interested in taking the time to learn them.

final eternal sonata question; if you did play through it again, and really really really, enjoyed the game (at least the final parts after where you left off), would you lp it.

I'm not going to LP a game just because I enjoyed the last quarter of it, I can already tell you an Eternal Sonata LP is never going to happen.

yeah, it was me playing the song. i played piano for a year, then i moved, and here i am 3 years later trying to self teach myself. and is it ok if when ever i learn a new song to ask you what you think, i cant really find anyone else that would give good feedback.

I was actually going to ask if you were self-taught, because I do see a bad habit. Your wrists are incredibly low. The back of your hand should be nearly flat horizontally, with your fingers curved downward to hit the keys. Imagine you're holding a baseball in your hand and you're hitting the keys with it, and notice the position your hand is in. Developing technique like this is priority number one.
For the sound itself, you need to spend some time practicing with a metronome, I'm sure that electric piano has one built-in. Your tempo tends to speed up towards the end of phrases, drastically at the very end. Dynamics could be more expressive, your right hand (melody) should be slightly louder than the left, and should rise and fall a little throughout the phrase. Slightly accentuate the major beats... ONE two three ONE two three. It doesn't feel like you're into it at all, it's just a big blob of mezzo-forte piano. I know it's just a little song so maybe it doesn't seem so important, but it's good to develop this habit now so that it's second nature when you start learning the bigger stuff.
I guess I don't mind every now and then, but if you're really serious about wanting to get better I honestly recommend finding a teacher. I learned so much stuff from mine that I wouldn't have even known I needed to learn otherwise. You can mess around on your own to a point but if it's something you're even semi-serious about there's nothing better than having someone who's been doing it all their life to guide you.

can you make websites.

Yeah, but I don't work freelance. I've done some concept work for a personal site for fun on our college's test servers but I've only ever worked professionally on our college site.
