What is your opinion on the whole Brony thing? I tend to share the opinion of the guy's from Retsupurae in that I feel like it's less of an obsession and more of wanting to be different yet part of a community at the same time, a lot of people looking to say "you just hate us cause we're different.

That's probably an accurate assessment; it's perfectly possible to really like something without going around labeling yourself as a "brony" or whatever else. The short answer is everybody wants to belong. Few things strengthen bonds more than perceived persecution.

Any chance you watched cartoons when you were younger? Or did you watch sports and whatnot with your old man?

Both, actually. Loved things like Looney Tunes, Nickelodeon stuff (Dough, Hey Arnold, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, etc.), and whatever came on ABC on Saturday mornings. Watched sports and stuff too though.

I love your play off of "Same Bat-Time, same Bat-channel" for your ask.fm page

Probably not the most original thing I've ever come up with but hey, it works.

Ninjas were actually real people, you know, to which the League of Shadows in the Nolan trilogy were more faithful than the stereotyped depictions you often see in popular culture.

A DOOMP a day keeps The Doktor away. Did you know?

He won't stop calling and telling me about Mistral's torso.

If my little pony had a video game would you PLEASE PLEASe please please please do a LP of it?(:

No. Not a chance in hell. No amount of begging or pleading or bribing would ever make that happen.

If you use firefox just a heads up.. In version 24 they are going to release a new new redesign of firefox.. It looks a lot like google chrome..

Wouldn't be the first time they've redesigned, as long as it's just as functional then go nuts.

Do you listen to the radio in your car, or do you have CD's/iPod connector/etc.?

Always classic rock radio. My car also has a cassette player so I want to find an old cassette tape sometime just for kicks.

So what's your history and fondness for music?

I've always enjoyed it. I always had a classic rock influence in that my dad listened to it all the time. We had classic rock radio on in the house, and it was always on in his truck too whenever he'd take me to school in the mornings or wherever else we went. Of course when I was in like elementary school I liked all the pop, boy bands, and other crap of the time but eventually started getting more into the alternative rock that was becoming popular. Fast forward to the middle of my teenage years and I was listening to the more modern stuff of that time, I'm not even sure what the genre would be but it was whatever stuff like Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, New Found Glory, Yellowcard, etc. would've been classified as at the time. Towards the end of high school is where I started getting my more progressive tastes (Fall of Troy, Coheed and Cambria, Protest the Hero).
That's kind of what led me into the progressive metal stuff of today (Dream Theater, Seventh Wonder, Liquid Tension Experiment, Spock's Beard, Trivium) and to appreciate more the progressive rock side of classic rock as well. Keep in mind though during this whole thing I always loved classic rock, virtually any song that comes on the radio I can sing along with.

whats your estimate on how many parts metal gear rising will last

Uh... maybe 25 to 30? That's about as good as I can do right now.

so you agree with one of raidens lines in the final fight, "typical politician, big promises, but all talk"

All politicians have campaign rhetoric, but that's not to say none of it is ever backed up. Add to that the measures they try to introduce that lose traction among the rest of the government body. One person simply can't do all the things they often promise by themselves, and it's unreasonable to expect otherwise. As long as when they receive power their actions echo the ideals of their campaign that's about all you can ask for.

fun fact, mistals last words to dolsaev (hope i spelled that right), or Je t'aime... de tout mon coeur, translate to "i love you... with all my heart"

Indeed.

I agree. The culinary school I go to is also high as well, mainly because of food and chemical costs.

The published tuition at my alma mater has risen every year since I started as a freshman; I was lucky to get a scholarship that grew proportionally with the cost of tuition. I obviously don't have any details on the finances, but the rumor is they're being more heavy-handed when it comes to cutting departmental budgets next year due to a change in how much they have to pay in health insurance costs for students. To their credit though their student health insurance premiums are already significantly below average and I don't actually think the college has raised them.

Do you think there is anything that can be done about the rising costs of education?

HighRollinMace’s Profile PhotoMason Atwater
Seeing as I have no background in this kind of thing my official answer is I don't know, but probably yes. It's not going to be easy though and it probably won't happen any time soon. A lot of the onus will be on colleges to find ways to act more like a free-enterprise entity; they'll have to search for opportunities to cut costs and offer the lowest possible net expense for students while still offering a high-quality education (and of course staying afloat). Waning government support for public colleges in the form of budget cuts are most likely a huge factor in said colleges raising costs. It'll be difficult, but they can't expect to stick with the same financial model when state and federal subsidies are being diverted away every year.

In your opinion, what's the game franchise that is failing the most?

NintendoGamer4100’s Profile PhotoBrigham Hood
Sonic. The only times it's been decent lately are when it's channeled the older games.

I'ma thinking that you'll end up with over 2300 answers here in less then two years. What would be your guess in terms of quantity over time?

Considering I've gotten 1300+ in four months I think that's a pretty safe guess. I dunno, hard to tell when either everyone will lose interest or more people will gain it. It's currently between about 5-10 per day.

Would you like to do let's plays of any other Metal Gear games at some point in the future?

The problem with that is it's an all-or-none type of thing since all the stories are connected. I'm probably not going to commit myself to that kind of thing, but I'd recommend www.chipandironicus.com for some great LP's of all the MGS games.

whats your favorite metal gear rising boss, and your favorite boss theme

Probably the final boss for both.
