In batman arkham city, do you prefer the classic combo buildup then special takedown, or the new critical strikes freeflow mode.

Well, I usually do critical strikes to build up for the special takedowns. The only time I really go for the freeflow mode is if there are a whole lot of enemies that have annoying attacks.

that video from monilith soft is, based on the looks, a sequel to xenoblade chronicles. not sure if its a true sequel, but if you do get the game, i would try xenoblade first.

Yeah that was my guess too with the stylized X at the end. I've never played any of those games.

i know your not really into rushing out and getting a wii u, but it looks like you have had your wii for a while, and it might not have that much left in it. with an sd card, you can transfer everything onto the new console. just a tip to save some frustration.

I own like 7 games for the Wii, it's doing fine. Thanks though.

Would you ever play Surgeon Simulator 2013? There's a lot of humorous YouTube vids of it out there

It's not for me.

Why must Metal Gear 1 be so hard? Haha. Stuff like "oh by the way better put on your gas mask here, you'll need it" and stuff like that is so frustrating! Or switching from the Gas mask to use a key card and taking damage..

Yeah, it has its share of "old game" problems like that. There's no shame in just using a walkthrough online to see those parts before they happen.

So what do you think about this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APWTJMyM4qg And if you had a Wii U, would you consider buying it? When I first saw that it seriously blew me away, it's incredible.

It looks alright, but I'm not rushing out to get a Wii U because of it. If we say hypothetically I already had a Wii U, I'd need some more comprehensive gameplay to know whether or not it'd be for me.

I saw the new trailer for Arkham origins. Is it a safe bet to assume you might do a walkthrough on it, when it comes out and you've had a chance to play it a couple times?

Don't assume anything. As I say with any new game: if I get it, play it, like it, and get the urge to do a playthrough of it, sure. I'm not leaning one way or the other at all right now.

What do you use to record? Fraps or Camtasia?

The only time I've done screen capture in the last like two years is for the Halloween games. When I do I use Fraps but I normally capture from the console.

Do you wear sunglasses?

I have a pair in my car for when I'm driving and it's really sunny out, but that's about it.

Hey Batman9502! I'm a member from the replaylounge and am checking in to ask a favor. ZrogiX made a basic trig question that I can't really remember how to figure. Especially since all of my notes are missing and now am wondering if you could solve the answer please. So could you help me out?

Here's the question:
--------------------------
Cosine Function = Adjacent / Hypotenuse
What is the cosine of 55 degree of a right angle triangle?
Opposite = 8
Hypotenuse = 6
Adjacent = 4
--------------------------
The correct answer is his triangle can't exist with those measurements on multiple levels. A right triangle with legs lengths 8 and 4 would have a hypotenuse of 4sqrt(5) (approximately 8.944), and angles of 90, ~63.435, and ~26.565 degrees.
The answer he's probably looking for is 4/6 or 2/3 (cos(x) = adj/hyp), but that would be the cosine of roughly a 48.19 degree angle (and the other leg would have length 2sqrt(5) or ~4.472).

Disregard the question about Ground Zeroes. I misread Wikipedia... I thought it said released but it obviously hasn't been released yet. My bad. But I also didn't know there were 2 Metal Gear games to come out soon. The trailer for V looks cool, don't like the voice change though..

Yeah, it'll be hard to get acclimated to Sutherland but I think he'll do okay. For what it's worth Big Boss was voiced by Richard Doyle in MGS4 so I guess it makes sense his voice is going to change a bit as he gets older.

Is a good gpa critical to getting a good job after college? Anything on a resume have more weight than your gpa?

I'm not entirely sure , I graduated with a 3.7 (and Magna Cum Laude) so GPA isn't really a concern for me and I've never had to write a resume to get a job. I walked into mine at the school my senior year. The fact that you have a degree is probably the more important part, and well-written strengths, previous work activity, and references are important too so in the end I doubt not having a stellar GPA would really hurt that much unless it's like 2.5 or lower.

Should I get metal gear rising, or assassins crred 1. Disregarding the price

If you're more into fast-paced combat and spectacle fighting, Revengeance. If you're more into stealth-ish elements and planning then AC1. If it was AC2 I'd say that pretty much beats it hands down but between those two it's pretty much just whichever type of game you'd rather play. You'll probably get more time out of AC1 though.

hey batman do you plan on lping the main metal gear solid series? and if not do you know any fellow lp'ers on youtube you could recomend for good metal gear lp's i like the story but im not much into the gameplay of it

Probably not. It's one of those things were I just wouldn't be happy with it unless I did the entire series, and I can't commit myself to that huge of a project. You're in luck though, there are super good LP's done by Chip Cheezum for all the Solid games. http://www.chipandironicus.com

Who do you think will take the Stanley Cup, and in how many games? I can't believe it's 2 of the Original 6, and 2 of the previous 4 Stanley Cup winners.

Yeah, it's always kind of disappointing when you keep seeing the same teams in it. It should be a good series though, I pick the Bruins in 7. I can't possibly see this series ending in less than 6.

Are you ready for the nonstop media coverage of Tebow arriving at the Patriots' training camp?

This is the one time I'm thankful for the NBA finals; it unfortunately obscures the Stanley Cup Finals but at least it takes time away from some of the NFL prima donnas I'm sick of hearing about.

Do you like pasta, or is it sacrilegious for Pastafarians to eat pasta?

Pasta is good. I don't know if it's sacrilege for them or not; somehow I doubt anything is really a big deal in a parody religion.

If you were a supervillian what would your name be and what would be your plan to take over the world?

Why would I want that? Too much work for a crap payoff.

Do you have any studying tips? I can't seem to focus despite being in a silent place.

Not really, I didn't study that much. The easiest way is to primarily study your notes (and to actually take good notes), since you won't have the big wall of text that comes with studying chapters in a book. Take breaks every now and then. Start with studying just the general concepts, go out for lunch or a snack or something, and then get to the details. Not really sure what else to tell you other than that.

How do you feel about earthbound coming to virtual console this year?

It doesn't really affect me since I own it on SNES, but it's cool for those who don't already own it.

Which batman movie is your favorite and least favorite?

See previous answer for some context, but Dark Knight. Don't have a least favorite.

Who was your favorite actor that played batman in the movies?

Considering the Nolan movies are the only Batman movies I've watched in like 6 years I don't really have enough of a memory to make a judgment here.
