I honestly don't need to defend myself on it, but if you really want to know:The characters and story were weaker across the board, the Origins or whatever they were called were less interesting than the Ra-Seru, Avalon and his gang were boring and cliche especially when you compare it to the vague but demonstrably real threat of the Mist in the first one, a higher number of main characters without any meaningful character development in any of them (and it always bugged me how Lang, Maya, and Kazan were so blatantly weak analogues of Vahn, Noa, and Gala), it's just not memorable overall. Also just a personal preference but I don't like how they changed the way Arts and AP work.
Don't remember. We read something in my literary interpretation class my Junior year of college but I have no idea now what it was, assigned reading probably wouldn't count for this question anyway.
How come you don't want to do a LP on Legaia 2.
The only reason that matters is I don't like it that much.
I've seen I think the first... five or six episodes maybe? Wasn't really that into it.
If you were an animal, what animal would you be
But I AM an animal.
Are you a regular reader of Cyanide and Happiness comics?
Pretty much the opposite, I don't think I've ever been to the C&H website. I've just seen what people post on social media and all that. What I usually see is alright (but then again, people only share the good ones) I just don't have much of an interest in following it like every day or whatever.
Are gingerbread men made of gingerbread house material, or are gingerbread houses made of gingerbread men?
I very rarely watch TV, when I do it's mostly watching TV shows that are on Netflix. Burn Notice is probably my favorite show I can think of, otherwise I watched Breaking Bad and most of Doctor Who until the last couple of seasons. Apart from that Sportscenter is really the only thing that's ever on my TV live as I'm going to bed.
If you had a million dollars to donate to a charity, which charity would you choose?
That would require way more research than I'm willing to do for a hypothetical question.
Do you find the question after "what pet peeves do you have?" ironic?
In what way would it be ironic?
how would u describe yourself in 3 words
Probably very carefully.
what pet peeves do you have?
I don't know, pet peeves to me always carried a connotation of it being something that's relatively small but you're disproportionately annoyed by. I think with the things I get annoyed by, most people also get annoyed by them. Maybe lack of proper grammar in work-related e-mails is something that probably gets to me more than other people. I get that you just wanted to type up a quick e-mail but come on, it's like four sentences and you're a professor at a college, u dont have 2 type like this
Wpuld you say you consume fast food more than the average person?
I go like 2 or 3 times a week, so however that relates to the average in America. That's probably about average, I guess?
Were you raised religious?
Only in the sense that I went to church with my mom just about every Sunday. My dad stayed at home and didn't do the whole religion thing so it didn't really spill into my home life much at all.
When you were a kid what did you wanna be when you grew up
I think the first thing I ever said was I wanted to be a "weatherman." Meteorology is pretty interesting though so I don't think I had that bad of a wish.
Have you ever studied quantum mechanics?
Haha not even close, the only physics I had in school was the gen ed science requirement level in college. Nowhere near anything that level, that's like postdoctoral cutting-edge stuff.
Do you like Mother 3 or Undertale more?
That's kind of a tough question... It's still a little skewed at the moment because Undertale is so fresh in my mind whereas it's been a few years since I've played Mother 3. If you really put the screws to me I'd probably still say Mother 3 but I'd rather just say I love them both for different reasons.
What was your first job
The first thing I got officially paid for was tutoring in math freshman year of high school. Otherwise my first actual job was basically my current job part-time my senior year of college.
I wouldn't classify any of the games I'm into as an addiction.
Do you watch hockey at all much anymore?
Not a whole lot, but only due to the combination of I rarely watch TV in general and hockey is never on most of the major channels; I'm pretty much limited to when the Predators play on Fox Sports South or the occasional game on NBC Sports (which I prefer, because Mike Emrick is a fantastic commentator).I'd still love to go to a live game, too.
Where did you get inspiration to start making videos?
Many years ago I was looking up videos for Mother 3. I had heard of it as a "sequel" to Earthbound and was curious what it was like so I just typed it into YouTube and came across a Let's Play. Watched it all the way through and thought "huh this is a neat idea that could be fun" and so I jumped into it.
I think the last Star Wars game I played was The Phantom Menace on PS1... so not really. I've heard there were some good ones but while I'm cool with Star Wars I'm not invested enough in its universe to seek that stuff out.
