What is your computer build?

I don't remember most of it, I got it a few years ago. Graphics card is an AMD R9 270 but I couldn't tell you anything other than that off the top of my head. One of the Intel i5 processors, 1 TB hard drive. Nothing super spectacular even at the time I bought it but it covers everything I need.

So I got a new, better, cpu. It's performing undeniably better, but my system rating for processing actually went down. It went from a 6.8 to 6.5. I'm sure 6.8 was accurate at the time I first built my pc for my original processor, but what gives now.

The Windows Experience Index is just a quick and dirty reference, don't pay much attention to it. If it's performing better that's all that matters.

What do you think of the recent Necrodancer changes, e.g. crate/urn, shopkeeper killing?

As much as the new shopkeeper behaviors are more logical, I miss the viability of using the Red Dragon exclusively to kill him. It's possible if you get the right setup but 9 times out of 10 you're doing it yourself, which is automatic with either two bombs, a knockback weapon, a freeze spell, a shield spell, fireball with blood magic, etc. I feel like there's way less skill required now but to each his own I guess.
As far as the rest I'm pretty lukewarm. The changes are relatively minor maybe with the exception of blood magic, which rarely seems worth it, and Dove, which I don't really find to be fun. I'm mostly just waiting for the fourth zone and new/final boss fight stuff; the bells and whistles are nice enough but they don't change anything significant about the game.

Are any of your recent Steam purchases video/livestream material?

Nah, I didn't get any of them with videos in mind. Shovel Knight would be the only one I'd even think of doing but definitely no plans at the moment.

Is there a way to clamp a pop filter onto a Blue Yeti without it damaging the stand?

It shouldn't damage the stand at all as long as you hold it steady while you're attaching it. It's just a round, plastic tip.

Are the games in steam very big files?

Depends on the game. The newest big-budget titles can be 40 GB or more, smaller indie games can be 100 MB or less.

What did you get for Christmas? I got Pringles, Poppycock, Soda, and OoT 3D. I have to say, it feels INCREDIBLE to no longer have the Iron Boots switching be an issue.

Just cash, which I used to get Dragon Age Inquisiton and a few games on Steam.

I don't do the pledge. I feel like pledging absolute allegiance to a country is kind of scary. Also "with liberty and justice for all" is, in my opinion, not accurate. My teacher has started to notice and has told me numerous times to stand up and to it. I feel like she's on the brink of calling-

(cont.) home. I have a right to sit down don't I? What should I tell her. She's very patriotic. High school.

Just be a reasonable person and stand up to save everyone the trouble. The pledge of allegiance isn't legally binding.

Has any religion person tried to persuade you into believing them and their faith. Personally I don't call them debates because no one will ever change sides.

I can't recall a time anyone actually tried to talk to me about it since I fell out of it. Believe it or not most of the time people are happy enough to just go about their lives. It's pretty obnoxious on either side to just butt in and argue someone's religious beliefs if the other person doesn't express an interest in talking about it first.

Should I play 3, 4, PW? Or 3, PW, 4. (Metal gear)

It doesn't actually matter, just whichever one you feel like going to next.

Should videos matched with 3rd party content be taken seriously. Can I just shrug it off.

Send a dispute if you want, but there's literally nothing keeping them from auto-rejecting it. Doesn't do anything other than place ads that give revenue to the company on your video. I have twenty or so myself.

If i were to get 3 years of a foreign language at high school, would I be able to continue from there in college?

I'm pretty sure any college with a foreign language program has classes even for people without any prior experience at all.

least favorite metal gear solid game? Currently playing through the second game after completing the first. I'm completely new to the series and I love it.

Peacewalker.

Hi, I'm new to editing. What specific things do you do in terms of audio and video production before you upload a video to YouTube?

First I do some preliminary work on the voice audio, equalization to bring up the lower frequencies just a tiny bit, then compression to keep the audio levels relatively constant without any big spikes, normalize it (make it about as loud as it can go without clipping).
Then once I get that situated I switch over to Sony Vegas where I mix the voice audio with the game audio and video, where I watch through it and mute any sections with background noise, accidental mic/desk bumps, clearing my throat, etc. Edit out anything that needs it like repetitive battles, 10-second long loading screens and whatnot. Obviously this is the time for any effects that need added, text overlays, anything special.
Once I have all of that edited, I export the newly edited game audio and voice audio separately, import them both into Audacity, and do auto-ducking on the game audio. This will lower the game audio when I'm talking and raise it if I haven't talked for like 1.5 seconds. Once that's exported and put back in to Vegas, the file is just about ready to render.
From there I frameserve it into MeGUI using Avisynth, with Avisynth filters to crop any black space if necessary and if it's a 480i/480p capture, resize it (using spline36resize) to X by 720 (where X is the width necessary to keep it the same aspect ratio). This would be bad practice if you were sharing the video file itself, but this is mostly just to get YouTube to serve out a 2 Mbps 720p quality option.
Basically if you're new, don't do everything I do. I've been working on this process for five and a half years.
