Do you believe in karma?

Not in any metaphysical sense. It's likely that if you treat others well you'll be more likely to be treated that way in return, and vice versa, just because that's how people are, but there's no supreme karmic balancer out there making sure everything evens out.

If you were in charge at YouTube, how would you fix the flagging's, copyright, and the content id system. and, how would you make sure it did not happen again?

I'd personally sell it and never have to work again the rest of my life.
It seems like the best they could do is make the Content ID system more understandable for copyright holders. There are a lot of game developers in particular that seem to be surprised claims are being filed on their behalf, and have begun working with YouTube to lift them and make sure these matches don't happen in the future. We have no way of seeing what the process looks like on their end, but it's my guess things need to be made more clear. Other than that, these systems have to be put in place to protect YouTube legally under current copyright law.

Do you know of any sites where I can get some cheap academic textbooks?

I don't, but Google would probably help you with this easily.

So were you raised and forced to go to church when you were a kid?

Not forced, we just went. I enjoyed it, it was fun to hang out with people.

What/who made you want to let's play? Do you think you would be let's playing without them or it?

It looked like fun. Obviously if it didn't I wouldn't have started.

What are some of the best Christmas presents that you have ever received?

The best one was probably my car when I was 16, which was a combined birthday/Christmas deal.

What are some of your favorite Christmas movies and tv specials that have ever aired?

Haven't watched a whole lot, I guess Rudolph for TV and A Christmas Story.

Do/did you play cards at all?

If there's a card game going on I'll hop in if I know it, but that never really comes up. I used to play some card games with my dad when I was a kid, usual stuff like Uno and whatnot but we played Rummy occasionally.

Which Bane do you think looks more appealing? From the animated series, movie or Arkham games?

Never seen the animated series, so between the other two I'd say I like the game version more.

I'm in 8th grade geometry and I went online and learned at least 3 weeks ahead of the teacher. all compact in 2 hours, putting theorems in the cards as needed. Is this too much?

It's never too much.

have you ever played mirrors edge, and do you think you might ever get the oculus rift when it comes out early next year. its going to be under 200.

Yes, probably not.

Your on-screen text keeps getting cut off in your Skies of Arcadia LP, is that something on my end or your end?

This has been a mystery to me recently. I noticed on some of my older videos the GA watermark was cut off. It looks like for some reason YouTube has been chopping some of my older videos to 4:3? It wasn't that way originally but I've noticed it lately. I'm hoping it's a temporary bug.

Do you have a backup plan if you channel does get taken down, permanently if you have enough strikes?

Not for videos, no. There are probably other hosting sites I could use, but honestly I'm not concerned about it. One of the benefits of this being just a hobby is that I don't have much invested in it. It's also pretty unlikely.

Forgive me for saying this, but I am surprised you were able to keep your Zelda let's plays up because didn't Nintendo go after people hard a while ago?

Again, Content ID claims are different than copyright strikes. I have 10 or so Content ID matches from Nintendo (that are currently in the dispute phase) but there's no real risk of them being taken down.

How are you able to post lets play's and video game footage to youtube without worrying about it being taken down due to copyright claims or for another reason?

I'm not. Realistically it could all come crashing down in minutes if some company decided to file DMCA takedown notices. It's never been a major concern for LP'ers though since it requires companies to actively seek out videos and give legal notice, and when it comes to LP's almost every company is either indifferent about it or are content to let the automatic CMS system handle it.

How do you feel about what youtube is doing right now, filing hundreds of copyright claims on video game and lets play video.

YouTube isn't filing the claims, the copyright holders who registered their content with YouTube's CMS (content management system) are filing the claims through YouTube's automated system. Content ID is nothing new, but before this month we were somewhat protected by virtue of being within a partner network. Since that protection is no longer there for most content producers, we're being exposed to the full brunt of the system; false claims and all.
It sucks, but there was never any guarantee this wasn't going to happen. Digital copyrights are a tricky thing, and in some ways YouTube is hamstrung by DMCA laws requiring these claims to be considered automatically valid until disputed for YouTube to be protected from legal recourse. Keep in mind we're dealing with digital copyright laws from 1998 that are in no way equipped to handle current technology. There are plenty of cases where this system is necessary for companies to protect their property, but plenty more cases where companies without ownership of the content are trying to bully a quick buck out of video makers.

What do you like better for an RPG, a silent protagonist or a protagonist with a personality?

I think these days, especially with voice acting, the protagonist needs to be voiced. You could get away with it when everything was text-based, but when characters just constantly talk to you and you never say ANYTHING back it can get pretty jarring. For example, I was playing through Dishonored, and while I understand Corvo needs to be able to have different personalities depending on how you play, it was a little frustrating when characters would ask him questions and then there's nothing said back.

Have you tried out the multiplayer in the last of us or arkham origins? If so what did you think of it?

I've done the multiplayer in The Last of Us a few times, it's okay but nothing special. Not interested in the multiplayer for Arkham Origins.

Are you interested in the story dlc that is coming out for last of us? It is said to take place before the main game does.

I'll definitely be picking it up.
