2 question. have you ever played any kingdom hearts games, and would you consider chrono trigger a nightmare for kids during release since the world was going to end in 1999.
I've played 1, 2, and some of whatever that card game one was called. Chain of Memories maybe? Before you ask, no, I won't be LP'ing any. As far as Chrono Trigger I doubt it, people were already saying the world was going to end due to Y2K anyway so it was all just white noise back then.

Probably not, I haven't even sat down at one in almost six years. I remember things like chords and scales, but I doubt I still remember any songs.

Hey man, can you kind of explain the difference between "active" and "wait" in Chrono Trigger. I'm just starting and I chose wait, but it seems like if I take to long to input my commands the enemies will keep attacking so I find myself just mashing the A button. Can you explain the battle system?
Active is the easiest one to explain. Time is always flowing, the action gauges of both your characters and the enemy are constantly being filled during the battle. The difference in "wait" mode is that time will freeze when you're inside a menu. Sitting at the screen where you choose from attack, tech/comb, or item time passes normally, but when you select tech and the list of techs shows up, time is frozen until you select one or back out of that menu, and the same goes for items. Essentially it keeps the enemy from taking advantage of you having to scroll through all of your techs or items.
You like to bounce on the enemy dumb drum in Winky's Walkway on DKC as well? I'm so relieved because I thought I was the only one that did that!

I did for... maybe 13 years? From when I was little until I graduated high school. By the end of it I just wasn't really enjoying it that much.
for chrono trigger, do you use the active battle system or the wait turned base battle system.
I use the "wait" option, all that "active" does is punish you for having to navigate through the different menus.

It's one I may do eventually but I have no idea when, I've got a lot of games in mind.

It's hard to pick haha, for regulars probably Ryan, with Colin a very close second. As far as guests go Greg Proops, but I also really like Brad Sherwood and Jeff Davis.

I don't know where you would get the file size of my original upload (the videos are compressed on YouTube after their transcoding), but I render using x264 .mp4, 3 Mbps for SD content and 6 Mbps for HD content.

What are your opinions on the Donkey Kong Country Returns 3DS remake/port?
Not surprising, the first DKC was ported to Game Boy Color and all three were ported to the Game Boy Advance. I think it's a fine idea, the more available it is the better.
I think if Batman (like Bruce Wayne Batman) were flying around, and I had the choice to find out the identity/see who he was, or who you, Batman9502, are....I'd have a difficult decision to make. Can't say who I'd pick.

Honestly I don't know that I have any, it's not something I sit down and think about. I just try to be the best person I can and to challenge myself as much as possible.

Not really, don't have any of the DS handheld systems anyway so it's a moot point.
I have to say I really enjoy playing along to your LPs (I've played along to SoA and Paper Mario), you make it very easy to do so, because you're incredibly efficient at what you do. How much preparation goes into the whole thing before you record?
We'll just use Skyward Sword as an example. Depending on how far ahead I've written out a plan, the first step may be to reference a few guides to make sure I note all the heart pieces, goddess cubes, gratitude crystals, etc. that I can collect at whatever stage of the game I'm at. After I have a plan, I'll practice for an hour and a half to two hours just to make sure I don't get ahead of myself during recording. Sometimes I'll run through a certain part, like a dungeon, a couple times to make sure I can do most of it by memory so I don't have to keep pausing and looking over to the side. All in all, for every hour of finished video there's about two hours of prep work.

It's just some option under design settings, look for a choice to change the header I think. It'll let you upload a picture.
I've been trying to LP for a while now, but just talking to myself feels really weird and abnormal. Do you have any tips on commentating without feeling like a crazy person?
Don't talk to yourself, talk to your audience. Just because people aren't there to listen to you while you're recording doesn't mean they won't be there to listen to you when the video is uploaded. I find it's better to think about it as you're speaking indirectly to whoever is viewing the video.
What's your favorite home-cooked meal?
My mom's lasagna was always the best.
