In your opinion, who is the most reprehensible bad guy in any of your LP's? I'm going with Porky from Mother 3. Seriously, who has a sick enough mind to do all that stuff just for fun?
The thing with the Mother series is that none of its characters are purely black and white. When you look at Porky, he started out as Ness' slightly annoying neighbor with bad parents. It's hinted throughout the games that Porky may have actually had some admiration for Ness judging by the fact that he kept a lot of stuff that reminded him of Ness. He crossed the line between mischievousness and evil due to further corruption via Giygas' influence. In his mind he was still playing mean little pranks and didn't stop to think whether or not it was hurting people. It wasn't even necessarily a case of "I'm hurting you but I don't care" it was "I'm having fun," without even a consideration (caring or malicious) for the people involved. Whether that makes him slightly more pitiable or more reprehensible, though, is maybe up to the individual. I guess if I was Lucas, I wouldn't quite feel so forgiving.
Even a character like Fassad, who does absolutely nothing redeemable throughout the entire game, has a mouse that loves him back at home. 100% evil villains are boring, and any game that had one I could point to would be worse off for having it. This is why for example I think Ganon is a weak villain all things considered: he just wants to take over the world. There's no real motivation or explanation other than "I want power." It's why instead of actually being a character, he's mostly just the "final boss." By that thinking, he's probably the most reprehensible, but also the most boring.
