What do you think is more valuable in essence: practical knowledge, or theoretical knowledge, and why?

It kind of depends on how strict you want to be about defining the line (or if there even is one) between the two. For the sake of a quick answer I'll just say that if you don't have some sort of grounding in the practical, it's hard to really study the theoretical in any useful way. If you only focus on the theoretical you may be able to recite something you read until someone asks you to explain it a little further or in a different way, where you might end up grasping at straws. In that case a practical foundation may make it more valuable in a sense, but really a balanced diet so to speak is essential.

What would it take to make doing lets plays a full time job?

About three or four times the views I currently get, the guarantee that YouTube won't collapse or stop allowing video game playthroughs, a future employer that wouldn't laugh off "Let's Playing on YouTube" as previous work experience on a resume, some kind of programming work so I can develop and put to use an actual skill...
In other words it's not going to happen.

Have you ever sang karoke?

Nah. There really aren't even any places for karaoke around here. It's probably something I'd rather watch anyway, I already know I'm a terrible singer so I'd rather not make everyone's ears bleed.

Weren't you on vacation recently? Where did you go?

I didn't really go anywhere, I basically just took the week off work. My parents went to Florida last week so I stayed there to watch the house, take care of the cats and all that. I needed the week off though, been a little more annoying than usual these last few weeks since the school year is getting ready to end.

Would you ever like to learn to play a musical instrument?

I played piano for about 14 years and currently play drums. I've always halfway wanted to play bass guitar but never enough to actually do anything about it.

Out of the more random questions you've gotten, which of them did you enjoy, and which did you not like?

I liked the one about time travel, all the ones I deleted that you haven't seen I obviously didn't really enjoy. Most of them I'm just indifferent to.

have you done this.... and that.... to a girl before? ( just plain yes or no)

I've listened to that Black Sheep (god I can't believe I remember that) song with plenty of girls. By the way I know what you means, and as I've said before, that kind of thing isn't really up for public discussion.

So Kyle (if I can call you that) You are a great guy. I'm happy with your new Playthru even know I said I really didn't want to get the game because the main character was not solid snake. Another great question, are you Apple or Dell or android etc.? I'm on a iPod touch 5th gen. I'm apple all apple

I'm not really anything. I have a Windows PC but I have an old LG flip phone, that's about it.

Do you like to play any board games?

I used to play a lot of stuff with my family as a kid, but I haven't played a board game in a pretty long time now.

So did you come up with the idea of Batman with a SNES (I think?) controller, or did you just pretty much give VoidBurger free reign?

HighRollinMace’s Profile PhotoMason Atwater
I was the one who originally pitched most of it. I gave her the general concept (Batman hunched over a controller playing a game, the batsignal is out and a criminal is casually walking by with tons of loot) and she led us through most of the design choices. All in all I made most of the decisions as far as planning goes but a lot of the design was collaborative based on her drafts. We tweaked a few things from my original proposal too, she had some great ideas like using a milk crate instead of the sofa I originally suggested and on which side to place each of the characters and the batsignal. Some of it was all her, like the buildings in the background and the coloring of the sky I didn't really specify, and I think it all looks super great.

Do you visit deviantArt a lot? Who are some of your favorite deviantArtists besides VoidBurger?

HighRollinMace’s Profile PhotoMason Atwater
I literally never go there, not because of any sort of aversion to it (like any place there's some really good work and some really terrible stuff too) but I'm just admittedly not a very art-minded person. I mean I can sort of recognize when something looks pretty but most of it probably goes over my head. It's also kind of like YouTube in that unless you already know who you're looking for just doing random searches will get you a lot of crap you have to sift through to find the good stuff. I knew of her from ChipCheezum's LP's and follow her on Twitter, found her work that way.

What do you not like about criminal minds and burn notice?

Burn Notice has a tendency to drift into the unbelievable every now and then. They try to ground it in some sort of realism by having Mike voiceover parts where they're making an explosive out of scrap in a garage or whatever, but some of the coincidences that let them get away in the end are borderline ridiculous sometimes. They probably should've all been dead a few seasons ago. Criminal Minds can do the same type of thing, somebody will deduce something that no real person would think of nearly as fast. There's usually a few red herrings and then they get that one big break that always leads them to their unsub. When they decide they really want to make a plot though sometimes they'll subvert it and leave things open, which happens often enough that you're at least cautious to assume everything will work out, so it's not so bad in the end.

Holy crap, I go fishing at the beach for the weekend, I come back just a few hours ago, and your whole YouTube/Facebook/Ask.fm art has changed. It looks nice, and it's, well, you. Haha, now people can see what you look like ;-p

Yeah, I was growing more and more unhappy with my YouTube background so I figured it was time to update my branding in general (and stop lifting the Animated Series logo for my avatar in the process). I knew anything I made wouldn't be as good as it could be since I don't have the best design skills in the world. I'm incredibly glad I outsourced it.

Did you see the episode where Reid was kidnapped and held hostage by a killer with mulitple personalities?

Yup. Any episode from any season after Gideon left I've seen it.

Do you think the same person asks them random questions?

Probably. Been getting some I've had to delete as well. I hate to just say "no random questions" because answering stuff only about games and YouTube would be boring, I'll just start weeding out the completely ridiculous ones.

Honey I'm home! Oh NO A EARTHQUAKE!!! JOHNNNY SAVE THE KIDS NOOO THEY TURNED INTO Monsters!!!! :( *Gets shot gun and kills monsters*........ Ok that is a weird sentence i made up what thought did you have when reading this? :)

Realized this was a junk question, skipped to the end to see if there was a question mark, when there was I looked at the sentence immediately before it. That was pretty much my thought process. I honestly don't even know what words are in the question before "what thought did you have when reading this."
