Yeah I hear that a lot myself. Unfortunately they are the kind of person who doesn’t care about something unless it directly affects them; they clearly don’t care about future generations.

I think most of them do but I feel like that phrase has been lost in translation over the years. A redneck was traditionally a farmer with fair skin if I’m not mistaken so basically they’re referring to white rural Americans.
