I have a whole list of conditions:Primary Periodic Paralysis with permanent muscle weakness (Muscular Dystrophy)GastroparesisIBSSleep Apnea/DeprivationCKDPTSD/Anxiety/SIFibromyalgia/CFS/MEMigraines with aura and sensory overstimulationMy life is difficult. Managing my conditions is a 24/7/365 thing. No benefits, breaks, or vacations. It is much harder than a job.
Nothing works all the time, but I recently learned from a psychologist the act of grounding. Find a minute (or five) to focus on your senses (what do you see, hear, feel, smell, taste at that exact moment) to bring yourself into a fully conscious state. It helps to reset the mind sometimes.
An association with acts of charity, in other words, people have said they think of my charitable nature first when they think of who I am as a person. In spite of my difficult life, disabilities, sassiness, and many problems, I am proud that some people think of my charity first. If someone is inspired by my efforts, my life won’t be in vain.
