You like your name? :)

Yeah it’s fine. I don’t love the spelling, but it means “Bold warrior; the people’s victory” and that’s pretty darn cool. 💪🏼

Whats your opinon about people who are highly toxic??

Toxic is mostly subjective. In other words, for the most part, what people believe is toxic varies based on their own standards and life choices.
For me, my opinion depends on what defines someone as toxic. Some people turn out to be as bad as they seem, whereas others are simply misguided or struggling. So it’s subjective, and my opinion will vary. Regardless, I am allowed to protect myself from the effects of people who are negatively impacting my quality of life. One of my biggest grievances is that, according to studies, we are most influenced by the five people we spend the most time with. If that is true, and it definitely seems to be, I have a lot of regrets. My goal in middle adulthood is to be around people who are right for me and lose the ones who aren’t so that my efforts to learn, grow, and be a better human are not sabotaged (by them or myself).
Nobody’s solid and set in stone. We are human, and therefore affected by the humans we do life with. Since that is our reality, we are entitled to judge.

Have you ever tried making pottery on a potter's wheel?

What incredible timing. I was looking at a tiny wheel this morning, but didn’t buy it. I’m dying to learn pottery, and someday I will. ✌🏼

I make a lot of quiche (see pic) but I do like omelets as well. It’s gotta have cheese! Everything else is negotiable.

What is the unforgivable mistake to you?

Grace_Elias’s Profile Photoنـعـمـة
Let’s talk about bad decisions instead. In general? Committing violence or other crime. In a relationship? That, and plenty of other things. Cheating. Threats. Fraud. Willfully putting me in danger. Disregarding my bodily autonomy. Any facet of abuse.
Those things are not really mistakes, like “oops it was an accident” sort of thing. People need to acknowledge the difference between a mistake and a bad decision. Mistakes can be redeemed, for the most part. I grew up with no common sense and made mistakes in judgment. Through education and understanding, I made changes to correct those mistakes. Irresponsible choices don’t normally have an eraser or a rewind button, and therefore the consequences must be faced. Sometimes the consequence is losing the person or people affected by that choice.

Food Question: Did you like sandwiches growing up? Could you tell when other people got it wrong? Is there an art to making your favorite sandwich?

AskKeishaJ’s Profile PhotoKJay
I grew up on peanut butter (no jelly) sandwiches. And the occasional ham and cheese. I still eat ham and cheese occasionally. I really like club sandwiches and grilled cheese, but rarely have them. No art to it for me, just made correctly.

Is there anything you find embarrassing about your country?

Grace_Elias’s Profile Photoنـعـمـة
Hahaha where do I even begin? An orange fascist clown is President. Our government is caging asylum seekers and literally trafficking their children. This country lets innocent poor people suffer and die instead of providing medical treatment. This country is a DISGRACE.

Dir You suspect that You are adopted?

Definitely not. I look so much like my Dad, MawMaw, and Great Grandparents, there was no denying me. I’m nearly my GGM’s twin, only fatter. The genes are very strong.

What’s your opinion on wearing crop tops to school?

Sorry, but I’m among those who believe school uniforms are ideal.

Has a mentor, leader, hero, superstar ever disappointed you? How can you improve upon the ideals or work he/she started, beginning with you?

AskKeishaJ’s Profile PhotoKJay
I used to volunteer for Christian radio. A band I followed and supported from the time I was a teen turned out to be pretty corrupt. One member came out as a white supremacist. We ended up arguing on Facebook and I unfriended him quickly. Another member was nice, but his family was super snobby and elitist. The member that I most connected with was the one that hurt most. He got online and begged us followers for donations to save his home from foreclosure. The mortgage was over $4000 a month. After some people helped him, he happily posted about standing in line at midnight for the new iPhone, then moved to Colorado.
I resigned from Christian-based “fandom”, for lack of a better word. This band who once encouraged me to be a good person ended up teaching me who I didn’t want to be.
