Romance tourism is objectively questionable given the ties to colonialism. Judging the ethics of something should be separate from ur own sexuality.
You’re referring to sex trafficking, then. That’s colonial, and not what I had in mind. I know of people who travel for a living and write about finding grown adult consentual sex partners at each stop. I literally don’t care if someone is doing that, and no, it is not for me to judge so I don’t agree with you that I should have an opinion of it.
I do care if someone is trafficking, obviously, because I’m not a monster. There’s no question or fine line, here. Either sex is fully legal and consentual (who cares?) or it’s not (kill the criminals).
My ancestors were first settlers, and one of them was involved in taking Native sex partners. That’s Colonialism, and it sucks. I have zero issue stating how I feel about that.
That’s not the same as visiting a brothel while vacationing in another country. Would I do it? Fuck no, I’d rather kill myself. But two grown-ass adults meeting to have sex is not Colonialism.

why do you think Hollywood is so liberal?
They encounter and interact with people from all walks of life and therefore aren’t as prone to be as prejudiced as the backwoods idiots in my state, for example, who would shoot their own foot, Barney Fife style, over fear of anyone who isn’t exactly like them.
That said, there are plenty of people considered celebs who are not liberal in spite of exposure to diversity. But that’s everywhere, not just Cali.
