Would the robot do all of the house-cleaning and sleep in a separate bedroom? If yes...sign me up!
What is the meaning of your name?
My first name is Gaelic and means "Bold Warrior". My middle name is French and means "The People's Victory". Therefore, my name means "Bold Warrior; The People's Victory". That is one badass name if you ask me. I'll take it. :-)
What is your least favorite beverage?
You'll never see me drink Dr. Pepper. Beer either. But definitely not Dr. Pepper.
Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not?
I believe in butterflies at first sight, but not love. Love is more than a feeling. It's a conscious decision.
Who is the greatest cook you know? What do they make?
The greatest cook was my MawMaw. She made shrimp and crab gumbo that I ate all my life until she was unable to cook anymore. I'll never forget it and I'm sure I'll never manage to duplicate it. I miss her food, but most of all I miss her.
When will you be in Doctor Who?
I suppose whenever they want a country girl from Alabama who uses a walker...which I assume will be never. I'll just be lucky to meet the actors someday (although I'm not holding my breath on that one either).
Would you ever pick up a hitchhiker?
My parents made me promise to never do that. I'm keeping my word.
What does the World know about the country you live in?
This country has an irrational obsession with guns and a self-serving view of religion.
If you have friends coming over, what would you cook?
Cajun Shrimp & Grits or Beef Bourguinon
PAP of where you want to be right now?!
What age are you scared of?
I don't have time to be scared of the future. I'm too busy fighting the present.
What does a perfect day look like to you?
No pain. No muscle weakness. Adequate sleep. Freedom to do what I want. This would require being a different person entirely, so I'm out of luck.
Do you believe in love?
Not today.
What book(s) have most inspired you recently? Why?
These probably aren't going to be expected, but I'll list three publications:Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is a touching story about perspective, relationships, lifestyles, conditions, and control. It forces you to think about the world and the way it is perceived, as well as how our choices leave an impact. As most readers have admitted to, I did shed a tear at the end.Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher by Bruce Coville is a children's book about a boy who encounters a magic dragon egg, and the journey that follows after it hatches. I liked this book because it was written well and it is similar to some of the manuscripts I am in the process of writing which fall into the same genre. I will refer to its style as a guide when I dive back into my fantasy novellas next year. This isn't a book, but it is the best blog on the internet. Always a fantastic read...just perfect: https://www.brainpickings.org/Congratulations on being my 1000th question! :-)
Which kind of natural disasater scares you the most?
The gigantic sinkholes I've been seeing in the news the last few years are pretty terrifying. Most natural disasters are, though. I've been through hurricanes and tornadoes and don't particularly want to go through that again, but I'm definitely afraid of earthquakes and sinkholes. It's anticipating the unknown, I think, that makes it scarier, and with earthquakes and sinkholes you can be buried alive. No thanks. A wildfire or tsunami would be horrifying as well. Nobody wants to burn or drown. I have nightmares about drowning all the time.
Take a picture of your home library.
Freaking sad, isn't it? I have several huge boxes of books still stored away because I have yet to buy a bookcase for the new place. Maybe Santa will bring me one.
What was your first big disappointment?
In Kindergarten, my older brother took something I colored and threw it into the fireplace. I wept in absolute devastation, and he got a butt whoopin'. I can't believe I remember that. I was a sensitive kid.
This is a crazy question that has no real answer. Everybody's different, and some people shouldn't marry at all.
What would your dream house be like?
I have a lot of dream homes. The majority of them look like log cabins, but I like cute colorful beach cottages as well. I am also a big fan of tiny homes. I am forever torn between having a tiny home where I live in solitude forever, and having a gorgeous cabin or cottage that would be a foster home or B&B. I don't qualify for fostering due to illness, but you said dream...so there it is.
If you could live in any fictional universe what would it be?
I would live in the TARDIS, of course. :)
Do you wear socks in bed?
Yes, but I often take off at least one of them in the middle of the night.
How do you like your eggs?
Unfertilized. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I slay me.(Scrambled please, with extra cheese. Thanks for asking.)
where doth love live and die?
Sometimes love lives only in a bed Sometimes love lives in the heart Sometimes love dies a mere notion in the head Sometimes love dies before it starts.I just made that up while so barely awake that I can't keep my eyes open, wrapped in a Doctor Who blanket, in my pajamas, with crazy morning hair and questionable morning breath. You're welcome. ;) Please have a lovely day.
