Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Thundercats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Looney Tunes (and all its affiliates), Tom & Jerry, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Garfield, Care Bears...I was a pretty well-rounded kid.

Do you like anime?

I don't have anything against it, but I'm not as involved in anime as I could be. I'm almost 40. I grew up on Voltron: Defender of the Universe (definitely anime) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (which I don't consider anime, but some people might). As a young adult, I saw a couple of bootlegged episodes of Dragonball Z that weren't available in the U.S. It was in Japanese with English subtitles. That was interesting, but I wasn't nearly as much of a fan as my brothers. I had other priorities at the time. I know very little about the anime of today, but I'm not opposed to it. I like the fact that it has people of all ages interested in drawing, design, and graphic arts. I have a good friend who I used to mentor when he was a teen who showed me how to draw anime eyes. I'll always remember that he took the time to teach an old dog new tricks. :)

What time of day do you prefer to do your writing?

Once upon a time when I was a paralegal/office administrator, I managed to be incredibly organized and I lived by a schedule. Nowadays, I fly by the seat of my pants. Life is an unpredictable mess of disarray to the point that I should probably be declared a disaster area. No organization, no method to the madness...I'm pretty sure I'm on autopilot most of the time. I will occasionally meet with a friend to write together (called a write-in, where we sit at the same table and type for a few hours in an attempt to motivate each other), but I have a difficult time (physically, possibly otherwise) keeping any kind of real schedule in this new "normal" I'm supposed to call my life. That said, I write when I feel like it. Sometimes that's in the morning (especially if I wake up from a dream that I want to remember...I type it out quickly before I forget), sometimes evening (that's usually when I'm most alert), and sometimes I write in the wee hours if I can't sleep. That happens pretty often, actually. I think my muse may be a night owl.

Don't hate me, but you're not going to get an easy answer. :)
I love pizza. All kinds. I'll be happy to give you a list, though.
* Mellow Mushroom (all locations): House Special, Mighty Meaty, Maui Wowie, and Mellowterranean
* Marco's Pizza (West Mobile, Alabama): Chicken Florentine
* Papa Murphy's Pizza (Mobile, Alabama): Take n Bake Murphy's Combo w/ extra cheese
* Tom's Extreme Pizzeria (Ocean Springs, Mississippi): New Orleans - shrimp and red onions baked on a hand-tossed crust with a BBQ marinara combination sauce, Grilled Steak - beef tenderloin, onions, mushroom, mozz baked on a hand tossed crust with pizza marinara
* Romano Macaroni Grill (all locations): Farmhouse Fatbread
* Camille's Sidewalk Cafe (Mobile, Alabama): Zorba the Greek flatbread
* El Taco (Atlanta Highlands, Georgia): Taco Pizza with a variety of salsas from the bar
* Papa John's all locations, all pizzas, all toppings except anchovies
* Pizza Hut all locations, all pizzas, all toppings except anchovies
If given a choice of crust, I prefer hand-tossed as it is somewhere in between thin and thick. I usually prefer marinara pizza sauce, but it depends on the pizza. I love BBQ or white sauce when it's appropriate. I like nearly all toppings except fish (keep it away from me) and if I have the option of omitting green bell pepper, I will. I have a bitter palate and don't love green bells, but I will eat it anyway if it's on the pizza. I don't have to have a lot of toppings to be happy. I like plain 'ol cheese or pepperoni just fine, as long as it's not terrible.
A final note about Pizza Hut: They have great new toppings, crusts, and sauce drizzles to choose from now. I like the hand-tossed garlic parmesan crust, traditional marinara, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar on whatever pizza I order from them.
Let it be known that I make pretty darn good pizzas myself at home, from loaded Sicilian to spinach artichoke alfredo...I love to come up with my own variations. I am seriously crazy about pizza.

What attracts tourists to your city?

The movie Forrest Gump. That should give away my location entirely. My family founded this town. It was settled by my 5x great-grandfather. He owned much of the land and is buried around the corner from where I live. My PawPaw who passed away in 2003 was a shrimper and fisherman for most of the 20th century. It's not a tourist attraction at all, but some people do like to come here to look at the boats and buy T-shirts.

If you could choose a character from Dr. Who, who would your choice be & why?

What would I be choosing...a favorite? That's really hard. My favorite Doctors are 4, 10, 11, and 12. Favorite companions are Sarah Jane Smith, Donna Noble, Amy Pond, River Song, Strax, and Clara/Oswin Oswald. Favorite villains are the Weeping Angels, Vashta Nerada, and Dream Crabs. It's a 51 year old show with more characters than I could ever recall...dozens and dozens.
