This can’t be generalized. I know people who hated it and people who were happy. I took turning 40 extremely well for someone with suicidal ideation. I felt good about it in spite of my pain and circumstances. But you can’t expect everyone to react the same way. Life experiences and perspectives vary.

Gosh, I wonder if I should bring my taser? There are a lot of men here who are overly nice publicly, but a lot less nice while anonymous, to the point of my concern for women’s safety. At least I keep it real by staying public. What you see is what you get. And I’m a lot smarter than they think. 😉

What unusual things happened to you on askfm?
Years ago, someone anonymously professed their love, and said they thought I loved them too. Pretty weird considering I was single and celibate and had no idea who they were. Those posts eventually disappeared, so they either left or got banned.
A childhood ex who is married and a grandpa started harassing me here. That’s the most recent weirdness. I purposely complained about past relationships so he would go away. It worked.
