So do u believe in God? And believe in religion or you deist?
I still consider myself a believer in God, but I understand why others aren’t. I resigned from evangelical religion and the church years ago, and denounced it publicly after American evangelicals sold their souls to Donald Trump, want to build a wall, and are suddenly cool with fascist policies like caging brown children at the border. They’ve lost my support forever. I’m a realist, so it’s complicated, but I simply choose to believe there is more out there. I do not, however, believe God is involved in daily life, punishing people, causing disasters, showing favor to people who offer pretty prayers or give the pastor money or act holy. I have no interest in knowing God if he inflicts cruel diseases or allows abuse and oppression upon innocent people. If I meet him and he says “Yeah, I did all of that”, we’re going to fight. Call that deist or theist or whatever. I’m a non-partisan humanitarian realist who believes in a creator and also the evolution of mankind, at least to an extent. If I’m not mistaken, theistic evolutionist is the correct term.

Unless we’ve met in person, it’s not even a conversation I’m willing to have. I don’t date online, and I guard my heart well. In addition to that, I am chronically ill, and managing my conditions is my priority.

My feelings are very mixed on the subject. Some posts are absolutely inappropriate, but some are ok. For me, it depends on the content. I do see a lot of kids on social media, but I’ve only reported a few photos.

Valid questions, but I’m not an atheist. There’s a great free course online called Philosophy: God and Consciousness that offers arguments for and against the existence of a higher power. It’s unbiased and very interesting. I choose to believe in intelligent design, but I understand why some people don’t.

How much did where you grew up shape you as a person? 👍
It mostly made me bitter in the long run. I questioned a lot of mindsets and was unpopular (at times mistreated) as a result. My hometown to this day, decades later, is still packed with racists, religious nuts, conspiracy theorists, and political villains. I want no part of it or them.

Scorpions, Rammstein, Bach and several other classical musicians, Tennis player Boris Becker, several models like Heidi Klum and Claudia Schiffer (She may be Austrian, not sure), Kirsten Dunst is German...I don’t think a lot of Americans realize that.
