My family and I watched it when I was a very young child in the late 70s and early 80s. It’s nothing particularly profound, just a light-hearted slapstick sitcom like so many others in that era. I’m sure in this day and age it would be frowned upon in many ways due to the rebel flag and sexism. A lot of shows back then would be problematic today, rightfully so. We live and learn.
Now I’m thinking about the other shows I grew up watching. I loved The A-Team with Mr. T, and The Greatest American Hero (“Believe it or not, I’m walking on air. I never thought I could feel so free eee eeeee!”)

I’m not able to swim with muscular dystrophy but if I were to get into a pool I would prefer to wear spandex shorts and a top. I haven’t worn a swimsuit since I was a young teenager.

I will never choose Cardi B. She used to drug and rob men when she was a sex worker. She deserves no fame or respect. I’ve been poor all of my life, at times homeless and penniless, and I have never committed a crime, especially against another human. I’m lawful neutral. Integrity matters.

I dislike it a great deal. It sounds a lot worse on video or audio than it does in my head, so I try to avoid hearing it on video or audio.
