Do you wear any t-shirts with funny sayings on them?
I have a Doctor Who shirt that says Keep Calm and Don't Blink. I also have several awesome Bob Ross T-shirts.
Which countries have you visited?
Sadly, the only place I have been to outside the US is Canada. Wish I could go across the pond and tour Europe. It has been a lifelong dream, but alas, it will remain a dream.
What is your idea of paradise?
I think the band Point of Grace said it well:"No more pain No more sorrow No more waiting For illusive tomorrows No more pain No more dying No more striving or strain No more pain"
What could you do as a child that you can't do now?
I have Muscular Dystrophy, so take your pick. There are many things I can't do now that I was able to do back then. I was a fairly athletic child. I was a 2nd place short track runner and a 1st place high jumper in elementary school. I can't even walk now without help from a cane, crutches, walker, or wall to lean on.
Do you prefer to eat at a restaurant or at home?
Home isn't the most comfortable place for me. I love going to restaurants, if they don't suck.
How often do you draw?
Not nearly enough, since I am supposed to be an artist. I really need to become more disciplined, but I'm just so tired and weak all the time. Some days, I can't use my hands enough to do much more than type. Drawing is not an easy as it looks...it requires muscle control, stamina, motor skills...it's actually quite challenging.
What was the last life-changing decision you had to make?
I'll say deleting and/or blocking over 30 people who claimed at one time to be my friend probably qualifies as life-changing. Some of those people, I used to talk to on a regular basis.Prior to that, applying for social security disability certainly changed my life forever, but it wasn't a decision I intended to make. I was forced.
Amityville II, but to be fair I was only 8 years old. I had night terrors so severe, I ended up sleeping with my mother for a couple of years. She says she regrets letting me watch it to this day.
Depends. Do I love someone with all that I am capable of? I believe so. Do I want to be with someone? No. Am I in lust? Absolutely not. People define being "in love" in different ways. Your question is very broad in my opinion.
It's night. You're home alone. All out of sudden, the power goes off. You can't see anything. You try to get up, but you fall over the coffee table. A strike of lightning lights the room. In that split second you see someone standing in the doorway. With an axe. How many unicorns live on Saturn?
You silly thing, Saturn hasn't given birth to any unicorns yet...it's waiting till marriage! However, I've seen in photos on the internet that God likes Saturn, because he put a ring on it. Little baby unicorns are sure to follow in a light year or two, so stay tuned! Same bat time...same bat channel.
What’s the one book you think everyone should be required to read?
This is not an easy answer, but I am going to say Proverbs by Solomon. No matter what your belief system is, it has a lot of sound advice on making good choices and being a decent human being.
If you could have any wild animal as a pet what would it be?
Would you like to go on a date with someone you meet on the Internet?
I don't date people I know, much less people I don't know. I have several friends, though, that I originally met online. I love them dearly.
Are you addicted to shopping?
Absolutely not. Never have been. I'm not the type at all. I'm extremely thrifty and pinch pennies however I can. I rarely buy clothes, but when I do I shop at thrift stores and discount chains, I accept hand-me-downs, heck I only own like three pair of shoes (I HATE SHOE SHOPPING)! I am not the least bit ashamed. I think my stellar budgeting is one of my best qualities.
Do you believe in aliens?
I can't say if "aliens" exist, especially the entities that we've created in our minds. But, I will say if we believe that Earth is the only source of life out there, we are much too full of ourselves. The universe is more vast and more complex than we will ever know.
Dye my hair, drive to a nearby town for French Onion Soup, buy a few groceries, and clean the kitchen.
What is your goal in life?
To live fully independent in a place that I love, and to make a positive difference in the world.
Do you prefer books or movies?
I realize books are often better than their film counterparts, but I usually say movies because music often brings greater emotion to the story. I am deeply moved by music, so I feel that it is an important element.
