What was the nerdiest question?

I'm not sitting around rating my questions on a nerd scale, but I do get plenty of nerdy ones. There are a few pending right now that qualify. I promise I'll get to them soon. Thanks to those who continue to ask me questions in spite of my frequent hiatuses.

What was the last book you read?

Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher
But currently in the middle of A Wrinkle In Time as well as the H.P. Lovecraft collection

What is the furthest place from home you've visited?

I think I've already answered this, but I'll answer it again: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Put your music on shuffle, what are the first 3 songs that come on?

Love Will Keep Us Alive - The Eagles
She's Got A Way - Billy Joel
Set The Night To Music - Roberta Flack and Maxi Priest

Where do you envision yourself living in the future?

Either Louisiana or back on the Mississippi coast, although in a perfect world I would be moving to Florida.

Would you like to play the role of the Doctor?

It's an amazing role, quite possibly the greatest role on British telly. That said, it would be fun to give it a shot but I'm much more likely to be a companion, if I were an actor...which I'm not. I'm a behind the scenes kinda girl.

Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?

Hopefully alive and doing much better, somehow. But I really have no idea where I'll be.

How do you get baby timelords?

Well see, it's like this: When a Timelord and a Timelady love each other very, very much, they go into the TARDIS and...drum roll please...use the phone to consult with birds and bees (but not that giant one that tried to kill Agatha Christie - yikes) and then the birds and bees use their mind palaces...oops, wrong show...they use their sonic screwdrivers to make contact with the Timestork who flies through a crack in the universe and deposits a baby future Timelord (or Timelady, thank you very much) into the TARDIS.
But wait! There's more!
Since all Gallifreyans are not Timelords, Mr. and Mrs. Timelord send Baby to Timelord Academy, where he is raised until he graduates (for it's not just a dream, despite what Clara says).
Finally, Baby is a Timelord, and he is congratulated with a graduation gift: his very own TARDIS (okay he might steal it, but you didn't hear that from me).
The end! :D

Have you watched Star Trek or Star Wars? If so, who was one of your favorite characters?

Michael Viron
I grew up on Star Wars...saw all three in the theater (to be fair, I was in the womb during the first one, but I was there darn it)! My favorite Star Wars character is Han Solo. I've loved Harrison Ford all my life. :)
As for Star Trek, I don't consider myself a Trekkie because I didn't care much for the classic series. I did, however, live for Star Trek: The Next Generation. Completely obsessed. I loved every character in that series, but I have a special love for Captain Picard (aka Patrick Stewart), Dr. Crusher, Wesley (who is Wil Wheaton, of course), and LeVar Burton's character Geordi La Forge. One of my favorite shows as a teen!

Is there anything you can do today that you couldn't a year ago? What?

Still learning to cook, but I've nailed a few new dishes over the last 12 months.

If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?

Quick, get back in there! 'Cause it's all downhill from here, kid. LOL

What's the best thing that happened to you today?

A friend asked me to help locate someone's birth mother. I found her within two hours.

Is there one person in your life that can always make you smile?

More than one, but I only see them a few times a year. Sure wish it were more often.

Who was the last person you said thank you to?

A random gentleman at Waffle House who told me to be safe out there (in the horrendous flash flood of doom).
