Way back when the toy store Toys ‘R’ Us first opened in our city, I thought the name was expressing “Toysaurus” like a kid’s toy dinosaur. It was literally years before the penny dropped and I realised it was “Toys Are Us”. 😆 What’s a name you have misunderstood?

That my boss was clinically diagnosed with a behavior disorder and refused treatment. When I learned that she was psychotic toward everyone (not just me), I found the courage to stand up for myself and resign.

A young man was fired for being too slow in the kitchen. The manager was regretful and kind, so the young man took it quite well and moved on.

What do you usually wear outside at this time of year? What about later on in the winter? ❄
It was in the 60s today, and will be in the 70s over the next week. (Fahrenheit, sorry) I’m wearing jeans and T-shirts and a light jacket, but most people are still in summer clothing. I will wear heavier clothing in the winter, usually thick cotton sweats, hoodies, and sometimes leggings. I also have a small collection of winter socks. It is humid subtropical here, so we don’t normally experience harsh winters. We occasionally see sleet or ice, maybe once every few years. A lot of Northerners come spend their winters here because of our climate.
