This is such a fantastic question, and it is not easy to answer. Many of the world-renowned restaurants out there are much too expensive. I would not spend the money even if I had it, and I wouldn't allow anyone else to spend that kind of money on one small meal for me (I'm talking about you, French Laundry). That said, I have always wanted to visit Italy and would be honored to have an authentic Tuscan meal in Tuscany (if I happened to be there, mind you, not a special trip just to eat...lol). I don't have a specific restaurant in mind. I would also have to visit an Italian Pizzeria while I'm there. Here in the U.S., I've had the pleasure of eating some amazing food on the Gulf Coast, as well as in Atlanta. It would be hard to beat Prejean's seafood gumbo in Lafayette, LA, the crab cakes at Cafe Des Amis in Breaux Bridge, LA, lunch at Luke Restaurant or General Grocery in New Orleans, BBQ Shrimp & Grits from Chef Wesley True in Alabama, or the Reuben at Marietta Diner north of Atlanta. The one and only thing I can imagine better than these things would be a pizza tour of the U.S. I'd fly to Chicago for a deep dish Sicilian, to NYC for a foldable slice of pepperoni heaven, and wherever else I could find that does it well...America would have to give me the scoop on that. If I couldn't do pizza for some cruel, ungodly reason, my second choice of food tour would be BBQ. North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Kansas City...I'm ready!!!
I love Six Flags Over Georgia. I don't think Stone Mountain counts as a "theme" park, or I would add it to the list. Gotta see that laser light show at least once before you die. I've never been to Disney, but it's on my bucket list.
I haven't answered the rude ones. I consider them trolling and delete them without a second thought.
How would you look like when you are 100 years old?
I don't have photoshop so I can't play around with any pictures, but I imagine I'll look like I've been around for a century. No way in hell I'd live that long. I'll be lucky to make it to 50.
Not a question I see every day. Haven't played tic-tac-toe in years. I imagine my wins have been pretty average.
In which fairytale do you believe?
I dare say I don't believe in fairy tales, but I guess it depends on what you are putting into that category. I'm a realist, but I also live with what I feel is a reasonable level of faith and spirituality.
How geeky are you today?
Hooray, a question! I was having Ask.fm withdrawals over here. Today, I went to an artifact exhibit and an IMAX movie about Jerusalem. I watched robotic surgery at the science center. I came home and partitioned an external hard drive (thanks to my geek friend James for his help again). And last but not least, I just hung up my brand new Doctor Who calendar. Is that geeky enough for you? :-)
If I want my hair grey, I don't have to dye it at all. My roots are starting to come out in a nice, shiny shade of silver. Nothing wrong with that, but I figure I'll play with color for a little while. I am an arteest, after all. :) Someone suggested I dye it purple the other day, but I'm not nearly cool enough for that.
What's your hair color?
I just dyed it a combination dark auburn and chestnut. It looks brown unless a bright light hits it, then it looks dark red. Kind of cool I guess, but I'm ready to go back to light golden brown.
Which fastfood chain do you prefer?
I don't have a favorite but I like Moe's Southwest Grill, Chick Fil A, McAlister's Deli, and Jason's Deli a lot. Arby's is okay (you should see how much Horsey Sauce is in my fridge...it's disgraceful). I used to like Wendy's until they ruined their chili by changing the recipe. I haven't had a fast-food burger since 1994, by the way. Hard to believe I've managed to avoid them this long.
What will you do at new years eve?
I'll most likely be writing a blog and making new goals for 2015. I use NYE as a time of reflection and planning, usually. The alternative is that my niece will be born and I'll be in Louisiana, which would be an unprecedented way to kick off a new year. We'll see.
Do you have or want a tattoo? What and where?
Not sure I'll ever go through with it, but I would consider a TARDIS or a Celtic cross on my right leg.
You must have visited my blog. I'm okay I guess, just the usual exhausting symptoms of systemic disease - pain, muscle weakness, fluctuations of heart rate and other important things. It was a pretty quiet day of laundry and Greek food, though. Hoping to get some sleep soon.
I had lunch with my brother, sister in law, and her family, then I met friends at a pub to watch Doctor Who. It was one of the best Christmases I've had in years, in spite of my failing health and the tremendous losses I've dealt with this year. I'm grateful. I hate that I couldn't be with my nieces in Louisiana, but I'll see their little faces soon.
Merry Christmas Eve darlin'
Thanks a ton, back at ya!
Don't blink, just don't!
Blink and you're dead!
How quickly have you fallen in and out of love?
We may not agree on what "falling in love" and "falling out of love" means, but I will say that feelings have come and gone at varying times depending on the person and the circumstances. Love is a choice, however, not a mere feeling.
I'm not sure I understand your question. If you are asking my age, I'm closer to 40 than 30.
lol lunch? :) it's 19:31 o'clock
Where I'm sitting, it's 11:30 in the morning. :)
holly christmas. how are you today
Merry Christmas to you. I'm okay, just waiting for a relative to come over so we can go to lunch.
May I ask, why did you divorce?
I don't discuss details of my intimate relationships on the internet. It was an unfortunate situation that occurred in my early 20s, and I'm very glad it's over.
What would you like to ask Santaclaus?
I'd like a healthy body, a safe and happy place to live, and total independence, but Santa doesn't fulfill irrational requests. I'll be satisfied with iTunes, a movie ticket for The Hobbit 3, and the funds to go see my nieces in Louisiana.
Sorry to hear that? Got any plans for Christmas?
My stepfather and I are going to a movie and an art exhibition, then I will probably go to my brother's house to eat. I plan to end the evening with friends at a public screening of the Doctor Who Christmas special. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
