How do you cheer up a friend when they're feeling down?
It depends on who they are and why they're down, I suppose. Most of the time, I let them vent, empathize as best as I can, encourage them to keep hope alive, and remind them of the goodness in them if needed.
Do you believe in love at first sight... on the internet?
Unless you're talking about a new baby, a wild animal, or a cute pet, absolutely NOT.
Are goodbyes hard for you?
In general, yes, but the person involved matters in how hard it is. I also struggle with lack of closure, though, so if someone exits my life unexpectedly, I may grieve over that. But it really does depend on who we're talking about. I've burned a lot of bridges over the last few years, and I don't regret it. Unfortunately, I've also lost people that I wish I could have at least said goodbye to, and that hurts a lot. So while goodbyes are sometimes painful, I often prefer that to an unexpected exit. It's complicated.
in your opinion, what's it like to fall in love?
It's a bit like being on a roller coaster - terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. It can be irrational. It can be stressful. It can be exciting. It can be utterly consuming. You might feel like you've lost your mind, and in some ways, you absolutely have. But feelings alone are dangerous and shouldn't be fully trusted. Real love, in the long run, is a choice. It is the conscious decision of passionately doing life with someone else, with respect of who they are as imperfect individuals who don't need you, but want you enough to also make a conscious decision of passionately doing life with you: an imperfect individual. I think people tend to focus more on the feeling of being "in love", which is understandable because of endorphins and all, but at the end of the day, it's vital that you also truly like each other and strive to have a respectable friendship. It is that level of love that is most likely to withstand inevitable conflicts. This answer is probably far beyond what you were asking, so thanks for reading.

I can't tell you how to be happy. Happiness isn't a formula. You have to decide for yourself what a happy life consists of. If it's reachable, pursue it. If it's not, reassess your life, be grateful for what you have, and strive for contentment. Sometimes what we think will make us happy is not really the answer. Keep an open mind. Practice humility and gratitude. Respect yourself and others. If you need help, ask for help! Best wishes.
What are your favourite perfume scents?
I'm allergic to nearly everything and have respiratory problems to boot, so I have to avoid most perfumes.
Which is scarier: clowns or spiders?
Clowns aren't even scary.
What is your favorite charity?
I can't really choose a favorite. I like a lot of charities, and it pains me deeply that I'm not doing enough to help.
What is your dream travel destination?
A tour of Europe (all of it, please and thanks).
How many meals have you burned when cooking?
Plenty!!! But thankfully far fewer now that I'm more experienced in the kitchen.

Funny question! I just counted, and my phone screen has five cracks in it. Ha!
Which celebrity would you like to meet?
This isn't an easy one. I'd be happy to meet many people who are considered celebrities. Sean Astin, John and/or Hank Green, Lin-Manuel Miranda, David Tennant, Alton Brown, Sandra Bullock, Alex Kingston...I mean I could list a ton of people, but those are the first few that come to mind.

Is it OK if I answer in English? Last time I fell "in love", I was young and not very smart or forward-thinking. I married a roommate, and it was a mistake. I have had no interest in being with anyone since. Do I still have feelings for people? Sure! I develop crushes sometimes. But that's not the same as being in love with someone, in my opinion. xx
What do you do when you're bored? 😐
Sometimes I go for a drive. Sometimes I nap. Most of the time, I read stuff, watch stuff, or listen to stuff. Occasionally I will clean and organize, but that's mostly necessary as opposed to a leisure activity.
Do you have any phobias?
I react very, very poorly to cockroaches (palmetto bugs). I wouldn't call myself a phobic of anything else, although I do have a moderate level of social anxiety. I don't think that qualifies as a phobia. Roaches, yes.
What was the last life-changing decision you had to make?
Last week, I agreed to start treatment for tinnitus, anxiety, and chronic insomnia in spite of the risk of complications with my muscular dystrophy. The tinnitus is still at full volume. Otherwise, it is going a little better than expected.
