what is a place that was really magical/special to u as a kid? (I don’t have children, but I was kinda thinking abt which stuff from my childhood I would want to share w my children! if I did have them.)

I thought water slides were the coolest thing ever. I can’t even swim well, but I loved water parks. I even rode water rides last time I was at Six Flags, in my late 20s. (I don’t have kids either.)

Honestly I think I would rather have been born in the following decade (80s) because the way things are progressing socially it would’ve been better for me as a disabled woman. The further back you go the worse things were for women because they were seen as subordinates.

How are graduations usually held where you live? There any specific ceremonies and celebrations afterwards? If you've graduated yourself, how'd you describe how that day was for you? 🎓

I didn’t have a graduation ceremony. I was asked to walk but I didn’t feel like it. I just went to the office to pick up my diploma and went home. I was ill even back then. I’m glad I didn’t have to put myself through a miserable ceremony.
It’s usually a long boring assembly where people give speeches and eventually you walk up to someone and take your diploma and shake their hand and walk out. It’s really not enjoyable at all.

My little town is worthless, so no. The nearest large city probably had something going on, I’m sure. I hope you had a good day, and I am so glad Juneteenth has finally been recognized by our government.
