If you opened up a restaurant what kind of food would you serve?

My best dishes, and it would mirror JBJ Soul Kitchen. I wouldn't turn anyone away who needed a meal.

What's your favorite thing about where you live?

Sunsets.
Also the fact that my 5x great grandfather founded and built the city. That's certainly notable.

What is the perfect number of hours to sleep?

That number does not exist in my world. I just know I don't get it.

Who is your most attractive friend?

They're all attractive in their own way. Seriously? You expect me to single out a friend like that?

At what age did you find out that Santa wasn’t real?

I was about 8, and I was FURIOUS. Not that he wasn't real, but that my parents had lied to me about it. I mean I was EXPLODING mad. I've never taken lies well, even harmless ones. I decided young that if I ever had kids, I would not lie to them about Santa.

What's the most interesting object in your room?

Quite a few interesting still life props and interesting books in this room. Can't choose only one.

Where is the coldest place you have ever been and what was the temperature?

At my house, and I think it was like 7 degrees. I was a very young child and it was record-breaking cold for the Southern U.S.

Do you prefer very spicy or non-spicy food?

I love spicy food. It doesn't particularly love me back, but anyway...

Name three things you have never done, but would like to do?

Flying (in a plane, of course)
Leave North America (I suppose that also means getting on a plane)...I'd like to visit Europe
Be a best-selling author

If you were a different gender, what name would you want to have?

Mom said I would have been Brandon Shane. I also could have been John (my younger brother). I'm honestly not sure what I would name myself if I were male. Perhaps I'd still be Kelli, only with a Y instead. Kelly is a male name anyway.

oh you don't have to be! i can actually do this. got an innie but can also flip it inside out to make it an outie and push it back in to innie. as weird as that sounds.. you don't know anyone who can do this?

Ha, I don't! Not sure I'd want to see that, but I must say it's fascinating.

can you flip it out to make it an outie? haha did you ever try?

I'm not a cartoon character, silly.

What was your first concert? No matter how embarrassing - let's hear it.

Other than small gospel concerts at my tiny church of 25 members growing up, my first concert was at Six Flags in Houston and it was Christian Rock - Al Denson, East To West (which included Jay Demarcus way before Rascal Flatts existed...yes I met him), and DC Talk. Pretty fun show, actually. I'm still fond of all of the above although I rarely listen to the music anymore. I admit I can still rap the entire DC Talk "Free At Last" album to this day (please don't ask me to do it...LOL).

Who is the last person you bought a gift for?

My nieces, aka Boo Boo and Sweet Pea :)
Can't wait to see them soon.

What’s the one book you think everyone should be required to read?

The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
