If there is the one pill, cure for everything but its side effects is a week of continuous excruciating pain - a result of flushing out everything that’s bad for your health - however, guarantees you to have perfect health after that one week, would you take it? Why or why not?

Absolutely. I’ve been in pain nearly all of my life. I’ve already experienced a week of screaming pain with kidney stones and a stent. I’d take a cure any day.

Do you like to cook? If so, what sort of things? 👩‍🍳 👨‍🍳 👍

My big food album is locked on Facebook, but some of the things I cook can be found on my Instagram @ugottafriend. I’ve also created a few food polls here on Ask.
I’m Cajun, Celtic, a little German, and Southern. Southern U.S.A. cuisine is often called Soul Food. I make a combination of those genres, plus a lot of Italian and other Mediterranean dishes. I live in an Asian neighborhood, so I’ve most recently learned a few Asian fusion dishes, although I have to limit them due to sodium content. I also love Mexican food more than I love most people, lol. So I feel like I’m fairly diverse in my offerings. I do wish I had someone around to cook for sometimes (not all the time ‘cause I’m nobody’s chef haha) but I do like to cook when I’m feeling up to it, yes. I’m a foodie, no denying it.

What is your biggest fear?

Specifically, others who don’t know or care what happens to me. I’ve almost died because of other people’s apathy and ignorance, people who were supposed to be there to help. I’ve experienced severe trauma that I can barely live with in addition to my serious health conditions. Some of my biggest fears are already upon me.

Yet we tend to cherish the living..

I think we hold onto it because we have control (in most cases), whereas we have none when we meet death. It’s human instinct to direct our own existence and to struggle when that direction is denied, by death or otherwise.

If you are in a relationship, tell me something wonderful about your significant other. If you're not in a relationship how would you treat your significant other if you were in one? 6 year anniversary today for me and mine. Celebrating today and tomorrow. 😊❤

Single and not looking yet. I’ll say I’m very emotionally supportive, and I try to support in other ways as I am able. It would really depend on his character, personality, and needs as to whether or not I would even consider a relationship. He of course should do the same. It’s not as straightforward as I’d like it to be since I have disabilities. There would have to be some long and honest conversations about our compatibility. Friendship and trust are prerequisites to those conversations.

Teachers who used to tell their students that they won’t be carrying around a calculator in their pockets when they’re older...how do you feel now?

I’m definitely not using any of the higher math I suffered through in school, and wouldn’t be even if I were working. I do understand why some of it is taught, but at age 9-15 much of it is honestly unnecessary. When I entered college, I had remembered absolutely no algebra from elementary and secondary school and had to start over from the beginning. What a massive waste of time. High schools need to start focusing more on life skills such as business math, budgeting, financial planning, credit, taxes, cooking (basic math and chemistry included), safety, health/mental health management, sex ed, career planning, and more. Those who want to pursue the much higher maths due to career goals may absolutely do so, but it should not take priority over life skills. Math nerds will riot over this answer, but I don’t care. 😘 My classmates and I had hours of homework every night and on the weekends, and for what? Most of them are selling candles and oils or working in vocational trades (something I advocate heavily - trades are vital). I’ll stop there, but I could go on about this for a long time. I have big opinions about education.

What are you making for dinner tonight if you are making anything? _____________ Tonight we are cooking our anniversary dinner. We are having Boudin. Then we are frying fish, shrimp, crab meat and onion rings. Then cupcakes for dessert.

Happy Anniversary 🥂 I’m keeping it simple with grilled cheese. Tomorrow, I’m doing baked haddock in compound butter with green beans. Still deciding on the weekend menu.

What would you say is your best skill? 👨‍🔧👨‍🍳👨‍🎨👩‍🎤 How much use do you get out of it? You think you'd be able to teach said skill to others? 😁

This is going to be incredibly ironic since I made a typo in my last answer, but my best skill is writing and proofreading. I used to write and edit legal and medical documents, including judgments and physician orders. Perfection was imperative, so I worked very hard to get it right. I was an advanced reader and writer growing up, so it has always been my strongest skill.
(I’m typing while lying down without my glasses at the moment, so there may be typos here. I am lenient about these things on social media.)
