He should probably start with an autism assessment and a cognitive therapy plan. We already know he sees colors when he hears sounds, so there is a significant neurodiversity there. I don’t condone being unhinged at all, but if his brain is wired differently, he may need some additional care and direction from professionals to properly handle life changes.

What is the wildest thing that happened in your highschool/college? Mine involves a fire that almost resulted in tragedy. These dumba** kids almost set the entire school on fire by trying to burn their test papers. Luckily, no one was hurt.
We had a lot of gang fights and pregnancies, also some affairs among the teachers; that was definitely weird. One teacher developed a relationship with a student. She dropped out at 16 to marry him and he got away with it! But saddest thing in high school was a pregnant classmate being murdered.
