My vision of an ideal education would have the following aspects:

1) Students will be allowed to explore their passions while fulfilling the curriculum's requirements. I see something like what the US high school has, whereas students are allowed to choose the classes that they wish to take, as long as they fulfill the requirements to graduate from high school (i.e. taking a certain number of Math classes, Arts classes, Social Science classes, etc). This allow students to explore their interests and hopefully allow them the opportunity to find their passion.

2) Examinations are not considered as the single most important thing in the world. Yes, you are expected to score well. But by no means are you getting told off or looked down if you didn't do as well. Grading scale should be consistent throughout the years, and not change or lowered just to have 'a lot of A+ students' for a certain year.

3) Education should not be related at all to politics. You do not change the requirements for schools or make any changes to the curriculum just to gain more votes (i.e. changing from English to Malay to English, etc).

4) Students should have sex education. Bukan nak cakap apa, but proper sex education can help reduce the amount of teenage pregnancies and baby dumping cases in Malaysia. You can say that oh sex before marriage is haram and everything, sure, but people who want to do it will do it anyway, whether it's haram or not, so might as well we educate them on the dangers of unprotected sex and how to have safe sex and everything so we can reduce on the negative effects of it.

5) The Science stream should not be considered as 'Superior' to the Arts stream. Both streams are equally important.

6) Stop shoving down mainstream ideas down the throats of students. Not every student, despite their 9A+ and everything, is cut out to do Medicine. Not every debater is cut out for Law. Loving Maths does not guarantee that you will do well in Actuarial Science. Whatever it is, stop forcing what you think on the students and stop blaming them for not following the 'norm' of the society.

Also, repeating a year does not mean that you're not good enough, so don't feel too bad about it, alright? :) Keep your head up high, and work harder. It doesn't matter how fast you finish your studies, as long as you finish with flying colors and success.
