I read A History of Syria: 1900-2012 as one of my references. It's a good background information. It's not that thick (really, it's pretty thin) and it's not that hard to keep track of the history and all.

They normally do, but I'm not sure on how the application process is. You can try asking them (either calling / going to their office) :)

Tak digalakkan. Yang bawak pun pandai2 ah parking kat luar tu. Kalau kena clamp or kena saman, pandai2 ah tanggung. And lately orang cakap selalu ada kes kereta budak kena curi, so bring your car at your own risk.

Wa'alaikumsalam, hi :) Unfortunately, no, I'm not under JPA-MARA and I didn't do A-Levels in INTEC. Your program (ALUK Engineering) under JPA-MARA is a little bit like @raziqkhirudin 's. I did my American Degree Foundation Program (ADFP) in INTEC :)

SAT, yes. There's no need for TOEFL if you've taken IELTS (but check with your respective universities if they accept IELTS as a replacement of TOEFL)

What subjects did you take for your a-levels?
I took Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics. Didn't get to study Further Maths topics since I dropped my A-Levels after six months.
Hi, Syaza. I'm an A level student, and we're actually allowed to use a calculator for any exam (including Further Maths and Maths). I think you meant the O Level paper. :)
Nope, I really meant the A-Levels Maths paper. I took A-Levels once too, and we weren't allowed to use a calculator. :)
Kalau fly ke uk, mmg kena amik a level ke? Tkde pilihan lain? As you said, alevel boring & macam spm. Setahun belajar patu exam. Kalau alevel fastrack tu mcm mana pulak? One year. So degree kt sana berapa tahun kalau fast track?
A-Levels between a year and two years, depending on where you do it. Fast track tak fast track, degree mostly 3 tahun kat UK.
And ada je yang lain yang accepted, kena la check sendiri. But kalau dah tahu niat nak pergi UK, silalah ambil A-Levels, baru senang nak compete with the others. Sebab A-Levels memang designed specifically for UK Universities.
