akak i got A in math and C+ for add math. in your opinion, you think i layak tak untuk amik course actuarial science ni. saya memang minat sangat dengan course ni.

If kau betul-betul 'minat', you would always find a way to work hard at your weaknesses to make it through.
That being said, tengok syarat la. Kalau program yang kau nak masuk tu mintak Add Maths B ke atas ke apa, memang tak lepas la.

Akak, based on your opinion, which one is better? JPA-MARA or MARA?

There is no such thing as 'a better' anything, be it a program, a course, a scholarship or whatever. It all depends on you. JPA-MARA is a scholarship, MARA is a loan. JPA-MARA comes with a bond after graduation (most probably, since JPA has a bond), MARA has no bond.
You could also possibly look into the programs that they offer and see which one is more suitable for you.

Is it true this year UW-Madison will be accepting more in-state students and less out of state/ international students? :(

Assalam, do you hv any of your friends who take A- level privately & then, they get good pointer & got sponsored before they fly? Sorry for asking this kind of ques. I got 7A 2B & it's really hard to get any scholarship with this result. - nina

Wa'alaikumsalam.
One of my closest friends got 7A and 2B for his SPM. He did his A-Levels in INTEC privately and applied for a MARA loan to come here to the US.
One of my seniors in KTJ was a private student. She did A-Levels privately, and got a scholarship to study in the UK.
There's a lot of people who do things like that. There are a lot of scholarships available out there for STPM/setaraf leavers, so you'll be just fine as long as you work hard and get a placement and score well :)

kak, I had enough worry for my results (alhamdulillah I got 5As), but then my greatest concern (and worry) is gce-o. I was shocked cuz I got 5C for it and my eng result is A-. how is that supposed to be? is that so important for requirements for uni?

The GCE-O doesn't really make a difference, unless you're planning on applying to the UK and tak nak ambil IELTS. But other than that, buat bodoh jeeeeeee

Hi. Im here to get some of your opinions regarding the course that I'm interested in. I am still confused whether to pursue in architecture or civil engineering. What do you think about these two courses? In terms of job opportunities and level of difficulties. I got straight As in spm الحمدلله

Firstly, congratulations on your results!
Secondly, I apologize for answering this question late. I've been trying to find out more about it but I unfortunately would not be able to give a more in depth answer about that, since I do not have any experience in those two areas. What you can do is probably find someone who's doing those two courses, and ask for their opinions on it? Or even Google up blogs of students in those areas to see their experiences and all? :)

That would depend on where you want to go.

When did you decide to study actuarial science? Before or after your spm results?

If it doesn't cost you anything just to try, why not just go ahead and try it out? Mana tahu ada rezeki. If takde, you wouldn't lose anything at all anyway.

UW-Madison has a rolling admissions process. The guaranteed date is the end of April. But some people may hear back at any time between now and the end of April. :)
