Pernah rs menyesal tak sbb pergi US & not UK? & lg satu, aku dh dpt offer from both countries tp UK punya still conditional lg. Cuma tetiba rs mcm dilema pulak tp takut jugak kalau lepas kn yg US utk UK tp lps tu tak score A-Level lepas tu tak dpt fly lansung. Hm camne eh? Any opinion?
OK, this is something personal about me yang aku tak cerita sangat kat orang lain, and maybe takde kaitan sangat dengan dilema kau, tapi maybe it can help. Taktahu la. You judge yourself.
Truthfully, one of the reasons aku drop A-Levels aku and pindah ke INTEC untuk buat ADFP under MARA is sebab aku tak yakin dengan diri aku sendiri.
Masa mula-mula start A-Levels tu, aku memang semangat gila. Sebab aku memang nak sangat ke UK. Aku memang nak sangat pergi Warwick. Memang tu la harapa aku masa tu. SPM results diumumkan, bayangkanlah dengan results aku tu pun, tak dapat walaupun panggilan pergi first stage Bank Negara Khazanah. Yang lain tu lagilah. Yang aku dipanggil is just for Securities Commission. Tu pun dyorang tak offer Actuarial Science, sebenarnyalah.
Bila fikir balik pasal apa yang Abang aku cakap masa aku dapat results dulu, "Applylah mana-mana scholarship pun, abang confirm kau dapat punya.".
Bila fikir balik pasal apa yang best friend aku cakap dulu, "Applylah Khazanah, aku confirm kau 95% dapat punya."
Bila dapat MARA ke US tu, aku berbelah bahagi. Nak ke tak nak? On one hand, aku tak pernah rasa nak pergi ke US. On the other hand, tahap confidence aku masa tu jatuh merundum. Masa tu kat KTJ tengah sesi menulis personal statement, and aku tak boleh nak draft out personal statement aku betul-betul. Aku completely lost. Otak aku memang tak boleh focus langsung. Aku macam... lost.
Kawan baik aku kat KTJ suggest aku pergi cuba interview MARA, see if I like it. After interview tu je, aku start buat research pasal US universities. Seminggu solat istikharah, seminggu tu juga hati aku kuat suruh pergi ke US. Bila hati aku dah cakap macam tu, manalah tak musnah lagi harapan bila permohonan ADFP Actuarial Science ke US tak dapat kan.
So aku appeal. ADFP Economics ke US. Walaupun mak ayah aku tak bagi, aku appeal juga, and aku dapat. Bila results appeal keluar and aku dapat, best friend aku orang pertama yang call aku untuk inform aku (dia checkkan results aku untuk aku). Masa tu, tak terkata betapa leganya aku. Susah juga la nak convince parents aku untuk bagi aku pergi, but Alhamdulillah, dyorang okay je with me going and starting over.
Walaupun sekarang, bila tengok balik gambar kawan2 A-Levels kat KTJ dulu kat UK ramai-ramai, travel sini travel sana, and I'm stuck in Madison, jealous tu jealous lah juga. Dyorang in one big group kat sana. Aku kat sini.
And kadang-kadang bila I doubt my choices to come to the US, aku fikir balik la. Kalau aku stay kat KTJ and buat A-Levels and pergi ke UK, I wouldn't have met all the great people I met in INTEC. I wouldn't have met my ATU20 friends. I wouldn't have met my JPKCA family. I wouldn't have met him. They're my family now, and I'm glad I chose to be where I am now.
Instead of thinking of what could've been if I took another road, I decide to make the best out of the path I am currently on.

Bab pengganguran lepas habis belajar bukanlah sebab salah pilih course ataupun kekurangan jawatan kosong di pasaran. Graduan biasanya tak dapat kerja sebab:
1) Score ala kadar masa kat universiti
2) Score tinggi tapi takde soft skills.
3) Tak pandai bertutur dalam bahasa Inggeris
4) Lack of communication skills
5) Demand kerja tinggi2 and tak nak mula dari bawah
6) Menunggu tawaran kerja datang bergolek kat kaki
7) Pemalas nak cari kerja
8) Takut nak keluar comfort zone.
Kalau kau betul2 minat nak buat accountancy, pandai2 la convince ayah kau. Buktikan kat dia yang kau betul2 minat in that course. Prove it to him that you have the passion and talent for it.

Berapa elaun yg akak dpt setiap bulan? Agak2 brapa yg akak wat simpanan? *tertanya-tanya, duit biasiswa biasanya mmg ada lebih utk wat simpanan yer?
Elaun MARA dalam 830 sebulan. Boleh la buat simpanan sebab parents top up for on campus housing. And ada kerja jugak so ada duit extra.
