Hello there. Wanna ask. I am rlly interested in applying colorado uni in us. Since im a mara scholer, i need to choose atleast 5 uni just like you did. But then, i just discovered tht colorado needs 45$ for application fees. Cn i claim mara to pay me fr this?
Yes. MARA will cover everything you do to apply for universities, including the application fees. Depending on which college you are at, sometimes the college will assist you in the refund process. If not, you can always write a refund letter and send the letter with the receipt or credit card statement to MARA HQ.

Different universities will have different perspectives on what is 'advantageous' in their POV. Some universities who put an emphasize on SAT scores will look at higher SAT scores, others may focus more on GPAs and letters of recommendation and a bunch of different things.
Most universities, like UW-Madison, have a holistic admissions process, and they review everything on an equal level. Meaning, doesn't matter if you have a perfect SAT score and a full 120 for TOEFL iBT, you're not going to get more preferences over someone with an SAT of 2000 and a TOEFL of 108 (these are just random numbers, by the way).

Okay, here's a serious answer. I don't know. I guess I'm the type yang boleh separate my personal life from my professional life, I guess? I mean, yeah, I set aside time for him and all the things I want to do in life semua, tapi bila bab study, study la betul2. I mean like, having someone or a significant other should make you more motivated to study harder to get better results so that both of you can get a better future, isn't that so? Like, both of you working hard together to build a future together, so why nak main-main or mess up your studies pulak? It should be motivating you to study harder, not study less. Unless having someone makes your studies worse, then probably you should rethink your priorities in life dulu. :)

I attended two high schools, and yes, both of them are boarding schools. For Forms 1-3 (2007-2009) I was in Sekolah Seri Puteri, Cyberjaya. And for Forms 4&5 (2010-2011), I was in Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar, Mantin.

To be honest, aku tak pernah exactly faham maksud '(nombor) kredit dalam SPM' tu. Setahu aku, it means at least 5C's dalam SPM (and that's what my father said as well), tapi I may be wrong, so apologies in advance.

That depends on the university's admissions process. Some will have a rolling admissions process, so the sooner you send in an application (along with all required materials like transcripts and test scores and all), the sooner your application will get reviewed, and the sooner you will get a decision back.
Others might not do this.
That being said, you might not get any 'advantage' of any sorts, just that you will hear a decision earlier than most people. Or at least, that's the case with UW-Madison, and I'm not sure on other universities' policies. This might be true for Early Action applicants, but I'm not too sure on that as well.

Hi syaza! I'd like to ask for ur opinion. I've gotten my results for SAT & TOEFL but both of them were not good enough. I mean, I didn't reach any uni's target for both scores. I'd like to apply UW and some other unis but I'm planning to resit TOEFL on late of jan. Do u think the unis still accept?
Some universities will still accept those, others might not, depending on how fast ETS calculates and sends out your test scores. If it's within a couple of weeks after the deadline (ie two/three weeks), some universities, like UW-Madison, would still accept it. Others may be stricter on the deadlines. So try to contact your prospective universities and ask their policy on it.

Okay, ni contoh je tau. Kat UW-Madison (my university), to graduate with a BBA has different requirements than to graduate with a BSc or a BA. This refers to the general degree requirements to graduate, and bukannya the requirements for specific majors.
Sebagai contoh, I'm doing a BBA in Actuarial Science. I have friends who are doing different majors in the Wisconsin School of Business, such as a BBA in Accounting & Finance and so on.
So, walaupun classes yang kiteorang kena ambil might differ sebab kiteorang ambil different program (AS vs A&F), kiteorang still kena ambil the same basic classes sebab requirements untuk graduate with a BBA in the Business School is the same for anyone.
To clarify, contoh classes yang all Business students kena ambil untuk grad with a BBA termasuklah: Introduction to Financial Accounting, Introduction to Managerial Accounting, Introduction to Marketing, Intro to Management & Human Resources, Introductory Microeconomics, Introductory Macroeconomics, advanced calculus, a 6-credits science class (from any physical, natural or biological science class), a 3-credits literature class, a 3-credits philosophy class, a 3-credit humanities class, and a 3-credits social science class.
The introductory business classes listed above (Accounting, Marketing, MHR, Economics) semua tu are business core classes yang kau WAJIB ambil if you're a student in the Business School, tak kisah la kau buat program apa. And the other requirements (philosophy, literature, science, etc) are the liberal arts requirements, and kau boleh pilih any classes that fit in that requirement.
So contohnya, for the 3-credits humanities class. Masa second semester aku, aku ambil kelas Introduction to the Qur'an. Kawan aku ambil kelas Theatre. Ada banyak kelas under Humanities yang kau boleh pilih untuk fulfill requirements tu, so you can choose what works for you.
So for students not in the Business school, ie yang buat BSc or BA or any other degree programs, ada la different requirements dia. Like, setahu aku, bebudak BSc kena ambil 6 credits of physical science and 6 credits of biological science, or something like that. So macam, kena ambil 2 kelas for each 'science'. Tapi untuk budak non-Science (aka budak BBA or BA), mungkin macam kena ambil 1 or 2 je kelas science, and it can be from any type of science (nak ambil dua-dua kelas Bio boleh, nak ambil dua-dua Physics boleh. Asalkan it's a Science class dah cukup).
Yang kat atas tu semua sekadar 'DEGREE REQUIREMENTS', and belum masuk 'MAJOR/PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS' lagi.

Most probably, program requirements untuk ni lebih kurang sama je (kena ambil Stats classes, Actuarial classes, Theory of Interest classes, Financial Maths classes, Probability classes, etc). So far? Emm. If I said classes were okay but I still fail the first professional exam, macam mana tu? :P Ahaha. And no worries la bro. I had no prior interest or knowledge in anything business-y as well dulu (sampai tahap kalau dengar mak dalam meeting or cakap pasal her work, I'd be staring and going like whaaaat?) Tapi sekarang dah okay sikit la. You learn as you grow up and grow older, and things get to be a bit easier :)

Do lots of practice. Past year questions, trial papers from different states and schools. Read up on the topics you are weak in. Focus on you weakest subjects.
