Subjek yang kena ambik masa adp based on course ke semua course ambik subjek yang sama je?

Mostly based on course, but the English courses semua ambil yang sama.

why you really want to study abroad. What attracts you to US?

To be honest, I never really knew why I came to the US. Or why I chose to study abroad in the first place.
All I knew was I wanted to study outside of Malaysia. I needed something new, something challenging. I was tired of the rigid education structure in Malaysia that limits my personal growth, that controls what I think and what I do.
I originally wanted to go to the UK. London, specifically. I wanted to meet all my friends, and I wanted to revisit the place I once lived in. But then, things happened during March - May 2012, and my plans changed to the States. So, here I am.
More information about why I came to the States can be found here: http://www.syazanazura.com/2013/11/why-study-in-usa.html

define 'life starts at the end of your comfort zone'

If you're living in your comfort zone for the rest of your life, you're technically not living, you're just surviving. Living is when you challenge yourself, to go out into the unknown and try new things, take risks and do stupid and memorable things with your life.

If you were a uk bound student, which universities do you think you want to apply for?

University of Warwick, City University, Herriot-Watt, London School of Economics, and University of Kent. :)

What are the challanges going for freshman instead of transfer?

You're a freshman, people look down on you 'cause you're new. You get lost in classes, you'd be intimidated when you're in a class mixed with sophomores and juniors.
But academic-wise, you'll pretty much go through the same thing.

Is wisconsin madison situated in between the suburbs and urban area?

Madison is actually the capital of Wisconsin, but it's quite small and quiet. It's not that busy, but not that quiet either, since there's pretty much a lot of things happening. So yeah, it's somewhere in between :)

Wht if the I didn't get admitted into the universities that I apply for freshman? I have to continue for ACTP right? What about the fee? Do I have to pay by my own for applying again for transfer? (I'm a mara scholar)

Yes, if you've applied for freshmen but didn't get any offers, the second round of applications would be by your own money :)

I'll be pursuing for my economics in states soon. I have been searching the list of the best colleges for that major but I only found 'Best Graduate Schools' not undergraduate. Can it be referred as best colleges for undergraduates too?

Yep, colleges or schools can be used as well :)

Which one do you prefer? To study in an urban area? or the suburbs? (in States)

Can I choose somewhere in between? I'm not much of a city person, but I'd like a place not too far away from a city, or at least a place with a movie theater and some fun places to go to on weekends. :)

Is it true that the chances of being admitted into private universities are higher than public universities?

I've never heard about that. I've always thought public universities are easier to get into? But maybe that's just me.
It depends on the universities as well, I think. If a lot of people apply to it, chances of you getting admitted might be lower. But who knows?
Wallahualam. :)

Do you think the university ranking is important? Or is it okay to just get a placement?

Personally, not really. In my opinion, I rather go for universities that are recognized for my chosen major. Say, I'm doing Actuarial Science, right? So I'd look for ranking on Actuarial Science and see which schools or universities has the best, or one of the best, Actuarial Science programs. Or, at the very least, have it certified by the Society of Actuaries (http://www.soa.org/)
So, despite Harvard, Yale and MIT being one of the best schools in the States, no, I did not apply. I did apply to Penn, 'cause its Actuarial Science program is quite good and it has one of the top business schools in the States. University of Wisconsin-Madison, for one, is a certified Centers of Actuarial Excellence (CAE), along with University of Iowa, UIUC and a few others. (source: http://www.soa.org/education/resources/actuarial-colleges/actuarial-college-listings-details.aspx)
A personal advice: Don't just apply for a 'placement'. Seriously, if you're thinking that it's okay just to get a placement, it means you only want to go to the States for the sake of 'being a graduate from a US university'. You're not really passionate about studying there. You're not into the university. You'd be thinking, "Oh, as long as I have a bachelor's degree from US, then I'm sure to get a job after graduating."
You know what, you won't. Graduating from the US or UK or any other countries does not make you more favorable from people graduating from local universities. It's what you learn at the university that counts. If you go to university, become a plain and ordinary student with a normal life and graduate with an average GPA, heck, the employers are better off hiring a UM or UPM student with a CGPA of 3.50 and above with and excellent resume.
Just some thoughts for you to think about. :)
And, if you're having doubts, prayer is always the way to go. Whether you're a Muslim or not, pray to God for His guidance, you'll find your way :)

what do you think new york university's business school? they offer actuarial science concentration too, I heard.

They might, but I'm not much of a big city kind of person, that's why I never looked into it. They're great for travelling, but living somewhere near a big city like that, not my thing. :)

What's the best thing that happened to you today?

Err, I get four Domino's Chocolate Lava Cakes for myself?
(yes I'm that hungry)

Im really looking forward to read ur article for ur bline mag but unfortunately there would be no chance for me here in Malaysia to get that magazine. Or did you post it on ur blog?

b.Line has a website (blineonline.org) but issue 20 it's not out yet. I'll post it up on my blog soon. :)

Oh I see, but sebenarnye boleh je kan kalau kite nak transfer credits (if applicable) when we applied as freshman? Hoho

Yepp

Hi there, im doing my alevel kat intec ad bound to Us, rasanya better apply as freshman ke transfer? :) tqvm!!

Emm freshman, sebab A-Levels takleh transfer a lot of credits.

You said before you applied to 4 colleges, but MARA is only paying the application fee for 3 colleges. How about INTEC though? Did they help you to send your dossiers to all 4 colleges or only 3?

I paid the extra application fee to my extra (backup) college. And yes, INTEC helps me to send my dossier. [particularly because I was close with Encik Zainoddin so he helped me out with the dossier]. But I had to pay for the shipping charges, of course, about RM70-ish?
